  1. Everyone remember the pitchfork crowd when Osh got in trouble with the elevator? Then it turned out he was stuck in there..
  2. Maybe he had to use the can really badly...he ran into VD to avoid urinating or pooping in the cab, then was in there for a long time due to a line or a biological issue...who knows. Hak suspends him for a legal run in. Fair enough. Once all details are cleared up and it is proven to be intentional or accidental or a misunderstanding, then Hak will determine his future on the team.
  3. I'm not passionate either way, I just give people the benefit of the doubt. Especially college kids over something that seems too trivial to believe it is the whole story. Athlete or not, this seems odd.
  4. There is a time traveling phone booth in Valley Dairy in GF
  5. He might've thought someone already paid for the cab or some other issue. Maybe someone else got dropped off at his place. Maybe he was drunk and gave a bad credit card #. Who knows. It is just highly unlikely he would risk serious trouble over $4. It sounds to me like circumstances. Maybe he had a reason for not paying and got into a dispute, refusing to pay, where the cabbie then decided to go to the cops. At least he didn't beat the guy ala Patrick Kane. Maybe it had to do with correct change or something. Maybe the fare was $9 and he thinks he gave the cabbie a $10 and the cabbie insists it was a $5. $4 is not intentional theft. No way.
  6. too much speculation for me to pass judgment. If it was a cab fare for $4, what were the circumstances? When did it occur? His other two incidents are non-issues for me...the team initiation party and SpringFest after the season was over...he's in college. He doesn't need an intervention. Hak HAS to suspend him pending final resolution however.
  7. This seems right to me. I originally thought that there were coincidentals. Knowing that they weren't, it should have been a 4-3 UND pp for 2 and then a 5-4 WMU pp for 2 with Panz in the box for 4.
  8. waiting for whistles to get out of the penalty box??? Also, you have to consider what I wrote- what about an ensuing penalty? All PIMs might equal out, but when applied to different players, you have to penalize each player according to his "sentence".
  9. It should've been a 5-4 UND pp for 2 minutes, then a 5-4 WMU pp for 2 minutes with Panz in the box for all 4 minutes. IS there still a 3rd man in penalty? Or am I dating myself- timewise, not romantically
  10. Shots attempted from high quality opportunities? Hard to discern from a shot chart...was a shot from the point a pseudo-dump by a forward going off on a line change or was it a well-screened one timer on the pp...shot chart doesn't show that
  11. I sure hope there were 40 shots attempted and WMU just blocked a bunch or we missed the net. Otherwise 16 shots makes it seem like a pretty lucky win.
  12. SOmebody must've been lobbying...you just can't do it the way they did it. What if there was another penalty? There is a huge difference between a 5-3 or a 4-3 PP and a normal 5-4 PP. It just illustrates that the refs were calling it to make it "even"
  13. 20 minutes vs 120 minutes to .500
  14. And should they receive revenue as a middleman when the customer doesn't get what they paid for? If I sell you a bond that I am buying from someone else, and you and I expect it to yield 5 percent, but it actually yields 4 percent should I get to keep your money?
  15. So are we starting to solidify lines for the second half if healthy? Oh my... Johnson Jewels and Rocco Mark Mac Parks and OD Tambo St Clair and Chyzyk Pattyn Gaarder and Rodwell
  16. I think St Clair gives you more offensively than Gaarder. Although neither is a dynamo
  17. I agree- I think Gaarder is best suited to a fourth line role. I think St Clair and Chyzyk bring more offensive playmaking and skill, and Murphy was brought in to do a little scoring too. AND not only do Rodwell, Pattyn, Gaarder seem to be clicking, but also, they could have a great nickname for a banging line...the RPG line...
  18. I forgot about Chyzyk! I fixed my post. To me Chyzyk, Murphy, St Clair and Mattson can all play that spot...Can Mattson become this year's version of Marto or Gleason?
  19. Here is my team, factoring in last night's play: Johnson with Rocco and Jewels Mark Mac with Parks and OD Tambellini Murphy/Chyzyk and St Clair (when healthy) Mattson now Pattyn Gaarder and Rodwell Stecher and Simpson Schamltz and LaDue Ausmus and Thompson Zane Clarke
  20. Two of Pattyn's penalties did not hurt the team in that they were scrums with coincidental penalties. The cross check was just aggressive play where a guy wasn't set and so he looked like he got shot out of a cannon.
  21. AGREE. I'd actually move Mattson up to that fourth line forward spot. He is a weaker dman with more offensive upside...
  22. This looked like a non-MN WCHA game to me. Way too many penalties, but the refs called it consistently. Rocco line was great. Johnson can play with them- keep him there. Pattyn line's goal was clutch. We need those guys to grind like that an occassionally chip in like tonight- a couple bad PIMs though D play still needs work 2 lines fired on all cylinders tonight- if OD was sick, then I give that line an excuse, but we need to see more there
  23. Agree 100% on Stecher I think Stecher and Simpson are our top 2, then Schmaltz and Ladue (even though he dnp)
  24. yup, and originally the sale was to May company and then to Federated...there were bks and PE plays happening as well...gotta love corporate finance, private equity, etc...
