  1. 6-3, Duluth. Empty netter, thanks to the St. Cloud puck carrier who fell down as he was passing the puck to the Duluth player. Thanks for nothing, Jan Brady.
  2. If they’re going to these super long ref reviews, at least the cameraman has the good sense to get the camera on the hot blondes dancing in the stands!
  3. Okay has Chris Bergeron totally lost his locker room? The Miami players don’t even look like they’re trying.
  4. Schloss being interviewed by the Miami play by play guy. He’s saying the Miami road trip his favorite of all road trips because of Sky Line Chili. He says he’s eaten it 5 times on this trip. Clearly there’s truth that people’s taste in food is very subjective! Runny spaghetti noodles covered in bad chili!
  5. I’m cracking a beer and toasting Owen. I was so happy to see him get that first collegiate goal!
  6. Maybe I’m late to the party on this but man, the Miami tv production is atrocious! I’m struggling to see half the ice when the puck is in the Miami zone.
  7. Seems curious to me why Berry even had Kleven on the ice for the final minute of the game. It felt like Miami was purposely going after Kleven, trying to bait him.
  8. Despite playing hard and aggressive, CC still doesn’t have the skill or depth of Denver. It’s getting better though under Mayotte. Let’s hope he doesn’t get offered the Michigan job at the end of the season.
  9. According to Schloss, almost 18,000. We decided not to go given we live down in the Springs. Between getting our 3 year old from school, getting her to grandma’s, and then battling rush hour traffic up in Denver, we decided to just watch it on tv.
  10. The CC/DU game was entertaining. It was clear that Denver was the deeper, more talented team but CC battled hard and didn’t look scared or intimidated. They had a great start, it didn’t feel that the arena, the big crowd, or the opponent was too big for CC. Mbereko faced 41 shots and several of them were of the grade A type. He stopped 39 of 41 good for a .951 save percentage. Like coach Mayotte said in his post game interview, the fact Mbereko wasn’t named one of the three stars is laughable.
  11. So glad the Miami fan sitting behind Berry during that interview didn’t do what I thought he might do.
  12. Consummate jock sniffer Ken Landau, the voice of the CC Tigers, took great pleasure in repeating that UND sits in 7th place. I’m a CC fan but c’mon Ken, no need to be so petty.
  13. That was a beautiful tape to tape pass! Too bad it was to a Duluth player.
  14. If given the choice between them and DU or the Gophers, I could accept that.
  15. The manner in which we lost last night more than anything is what bothers and concerns me the most. The D zone coverage was atrocious as well as our inability to gain control of the puck. Man, Western did a great job cycling and maintaining possession.
  16. When has our goaltending and D zone coverage been this bad? Early 90’s perhaps? Seem to recall some pretty bad teams from around ‘92-95.
  17. It seemed like from about the 12 minute mark to the 9 minute mark in the third, we didn’t once get the puck out of our own zone. There were several face offs and we either lost most of them or we lost the 50/50 puck battles.
  18. Top 6 in the nation in shots allowed but dead last in team save percentage. Ouch.
  19. Cooper Moore had a forgettable third period.
  20. After cruising to victory last night, CC looked as if they thought tonight would be a cake walk. Nobody told the Princeton Tigers that and they came out and outplayed CC to a 2-1 overtime victory.
  21. Princeton isn’t very good but I bet @MafiaManwould like their sweaters.
  22. If I’m not mistaken, this was Polin’s second back-to-back hat tricks this season! 12 goals in 4 games, impressive.
  23. My favorite Christmas movie! Good choice!!!
  24. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus or whatever else you might celebrate, to my friends here on siouxsports.com! Always glad to read everyone’s comments about our beloved UND hockey program! Here’s to a great and memorable 2023! Go Sioux!
  25. Yah and given how few NHL games I attend, last night it struck me how long the leagues and team owners want their games to last in contrast to the NCAA. Given the $17 beers they charge at Ball Arena, it started making sense why they have 18 minute intermissions.
