I watched most of the CC/Omaha game until it was clear CC was going to win and I switched it over to watch the third period of the UND game. CC really came out aggressive and were flying. @MafiaMan will love this next comment.... WE were really skating hard and we were the aggressors tonight. Nice road win for us tonight.

I kinda missed Hennessey’s comment at the beginning of the post game show. He said someone tweeted a derogatory remark equating UND to a squirt team that was practicing on the ice earlier. Does anyone know who for Duluth made that tweet?

Bummer that both UMD and DU are idle prior to their series against UND but it is what it is.

Do a shot for everytime we hear Hennessy say, “UND shot it wide.”???

In my unbiased opinion, I’m going to conservatively say UND bounces back and wins 14-2. I welcome any arguments to the contrary.

How the Gophers are tied with Ohio State this afternoon is beyond me. Ohio State is clearly the more talented team.

I actually miss Frank Mazzacco. Was he a Gopher homer? -Of course, as he should’ve been but to his credit, I heard him plenty of times give credit where credit was due to UND, probably to his own detriment. He was a likable homer, IMO. These Duluth guys are just plain dicks.

The great irony of last night is that I didn’t have a single adult beverage the entire night and here I was the one talking about doing shots everytime the Duluth announcers bitched and moaned about a missed call!

Ahhh Brooksie! If you ever want a good laugh, go look up some of his interviews with Torts! Classic! I love how Brooksie wouldn’t back down an inch whenever Torterella would start giving attitude!

You know, I’m not really sure to be completely honest with you. I guess I would’ve known had I heard it. I think at the time I posted my comment about Hennessy I was in a very pissy mood and was about ready to go outside and punch a tree or something, I was so mad. I guess maybe in the interview it may or may not be the time or place but sometimes I feel like Hennessy sugar coats things a bit and would just appreciate hearing the cold hard truth.

According to some guy named Scott Stone on FB, you have zero right criticizing the team-or it’s coaches-for what’s happening. Based on his logic, the fans have no right to express any opinions that are in any way critical of the current coaching staff.

I agree with you and as a CC fan I’ve had plenty to rant about over the years. I was just feeling like I got it out of me last night and trying to just go into tonight’s game hopeful that we will see a better result. I’m with ya man, I think we all had a lot to bitch about last night in light of what we witnessed.

Just read Schloss saying that Gardner and Hoff appeared to be dealing with injuries after last night’s game.

You must be a millennial and/or I’m an old fart because I’ve never heard of those bands before! I’ll have to go check ‘em out! I’m still stuck in the 1980’s (ala, Cinderella, Ratt, Megadeth, Eddie Belfour, Phil Sykes, Bob Joyce, Jon Casey, Jim Archibald, Gino Gasparini, etc).

I think we all need to hit the reset button this morning, put last night behind us and see how the boys respond tonight. I, in particular, was in a rather salty, negative mood with my posts last night and for that I am sorry. I definitely had on poopy diapers. Time to crank up the stereo, make some sausage and eggs, and watch the rest of college gameday and some football. Perhaps some heavy music is in order to get fired up for tonight’s UND game. How about some Armored Saint, Metallica, and some old school Dokken?

Question: Have we gone to the well one too many times with regards to where we are recruiting? Remember when it was all the rage (and for good reason) to get players from Shattuck? Now it appears that the BCHL has become the latest beauty league to recruit from but meanwhile, we’re missing out (perhaps by choice, I don’t know) good players from northern Minnesota and Manitoba-geography where UND historically recruited and landed some really good talent. I wonder if Colt Conrad even got a whiff of interest from UND?

Yah, you’re probably right. Hennessy’s gotta toe the company line or else..he’ll receive a contract extension and raise for mediocre performance.

Why would Sandelin give up his gig even for the chance to return to his alma mater? He’s probably going to get another contract extension and for even more money and he’s got a really good thing going right where he’s at. Duluth is among the elite in the country now going on several years in a row. I just think we’re overestimating the whole, “he’d come back because it’s UND and that’s his alma mater” sentiment.
