I don't think they would have such a lousy record had Cruikshank been able to play all season. And they are young. Maybe they're a bottom third team but not one of the worst in the country.

Without reading back, I'm wondering where we stand for defensemen in the near future. We lose Bast, Kiersted and Reiger to graduation, probably JBD and possibly Sanderson. That would leave Moore, Frisch and Kleven. I only see one coming in next year (Scott Morrow) and only two the following year. Any talk of someone coming in early?

And Denver could find itself in a precarious position after the regular season. After they get swept this weekend, they will have a 7-12-1 record. So they could finish with a losing record. But does the Wisconsin rule come into play if they win the NCHC tourny?

I watched the game. BC looked pretty good but I thought I heard BU was several players short. Covid? The OT goal was a thing of beauty if you're a BC fan and a did-that-really-happen goal if you're a BU fan.

BU is just a covid blip from not getting in 13 games.
