Speaking of soap opera's the Forum's chatroom is hilarious. I never realized people from Fargo hated Grand Forks so much This is my new personal favorite: This was on the discussion about the new development in Fargo. What it has to do with the REA is beyond me. Where this idiot got his facts is also beyond me. Here is the link As the Forum Turns

Check out the Forums CHAT on the topic. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to admit I have a degree from NDSU. This is my favorite: Although this one gave me more laughs:

I just read the Forum article. Maybe you should post this in the community forum, I was just about to post it there when I decided to search. It was an interesting article, funny the Herald missed the ball again.

If he is good enough he will crack the line up. But when you have senior forwards like Becker, Vandeveldie, Loos, Johnson, Clukey, and Fisher it is going to be hard to get playing time. All six of these seniors are legitimate D1 prospects. Four of the six are currently visiting campuses (or have committed). With Johnson out for a few weeks Christian should see some more varsity ice time but i highly doubt he will see the ice time these other guys get this season.

It hard to get playing time when you are sitting out the mandatory one year after transferring.

Clearly he is not a very smart kid then The consensus appears he is probably the best player in the state, that is going to play HS hockey in ND. He was injured most of last season, so I didn't see much of him. He must play football or soccer because he did not play in the elite league this season. With his lack of exposure I highly doubt any college is actively recruiting him. It is hard to tell for sure what kind of a player he is when he only played about 10 games last year.

That was Mark Brickson. He is the career services director at the law school.

Philippe Lamoureux, Fr 5 2 2 1 9 303 1.78 0 140 .940 Jake Brandt, Sr 2 1 0 0 4 100 2.40 0 34 .895 Jordan Parise, So 6 2 3 1 17 329 3.10 0 139 .891 Hmm, I think you would have to be sniffing gold paint to think anyone other than Lamoureux is the #1 goalie right now. I agree about Fylling, I really thought he would be one to step up and score around 40 points this season. Looks like I'm wrong. Schneider had a dissapointing season last year, but I think the 02/03 season was a freak occurance. I'd bet close to 1/2 (probably more) of his points came from playing on the PP with Parise, Bochenski and Lundbohm. Last years PP sucked, and Schneider did not play on it much. This year it seems Greene and Jones play 1/2 of the game so Schneider doesn't see has much ice time. So far this year hasn't been great for him, but I think he will get some points once the forwards figure out how to put the puck in the net.

So far this year the only Sioux losses have come from the #s 1,3,4,5 teams in the country. Talk about a tough start. Maybe the chicken littles out their can calm down for a few more weeks. If they have a losing record after the next three series then the sky will indeed be falling.

IMO this would be huge for UND. They do not have a big name goal scorer coming in, Toews would likely be just that. The SSM website has him listed as an 88 senior, so he is graduating a year early. Right now he is second on the team in scoring with 36 points in 23 games. Genoway has 22 points in 22 games. He has to be considered another potential recruit.

The Sioux put in a good second period, and part of a good third. It is hard to say they ran into a hot goalie when they had so few scoring chances though. WTF goes through Hakstols mind is beyond me, but then again I felt that way with Blais a lot of the time and he got results. Pulling the goalie with over a minute left when you are short handed and only down by a goal? I still think it is too early to be calling for Haks head, the needs to be given a chance. WI is a very good team and the Sioux did outplay them tonight. If they can just figure out the offense they should be in good shape. Personally I would like to see them practice working on lines in practice rather than big WCHA games, but like I said before, it seemed to work for Blais. Greene and Schneider are two pissed off guys, they are going to kill someone if they Sioux keep playing this way. Both of them carried the puck way to much tonight, you can tell they are trying to start something. I give them credit at least, if the rest of the team would match their effort they would have a much better record. If Robby Earl wasn't the ugliest mother f'ker on the face of this earth, he would make a great actor. I guess that's how they play hockey in California. The Sioux started the game forechecking hard causing them to cough the puck up. Then they stopped forechecking hard, instead trying to carry the puck in the zone. The Sioux can't pass the puck this year, which IMO is the source of most of their problems. They have no team game. The Sioux D were played well defensively (except Radke getting burned on the WI goal), but they looked more like the D you described than the WI D. I don't know how many times Smaby passed it right to a WI player. I don't understand why Bina isn't playing every game. His style of play is what the Sioux need from the point. I hate to say it but Greene may be hurting the team more than helping. The Sioux can't afford giving up 10-15+ penalties a game.

Schneider should have gotten kicked out, did you see him dragging that kid around the ice, while beating on him. Schneider went ape on that kid. Pretty funny considerting the Badger announcers were just talking about Hakstol and Eades back in the day. Someone needs to toss a water bottle.

They do need to sign a goalie for next season, that is one position I haven't heard any talk about. I doubt Greene will be back next season, and Oshie has been told he's coming in 06 so that does leave the Sioux strapped. Foyt and Marvin can move up and play on the fourth line if need be, but I still expect the Sioux to look for 1 or 2 more forwards for next season.

Oshie and Vandeveldie are coming in 06. Lee depends on how quick he heals from knee surgery. I believe Kozek and Watkins were recruited so they could come in next season. I would think Duncan would be another for sure next season. I have no idea what the plans are for Chorney and Miller. It looks like the Sioux will need at least one to come in next season.
