  1. I thought this was funny when I heard it. Did I hear right, is Phil Hansen going to host the football show?
  2. I thought he played really well in the first period of friday's games. He made a lot of really good saves, especially on second and third chances close in.
  3. Great to read this article this morning in the Herald. Zach will be a good player for the Sioux in the years to come.
  4. I wouldn't say "most", because the Sioux have only played a handful of games on ESPN and even though those include a lot of their championships, a lot of their legendary games I believe were not played in front of such huge tv audiences. I would be curious to know if the NCAA does own the broadcast rights to the games.
  5. I read the whole thing also and have no idea what is supposed to be so funny.
  6. The online version of the story left out some of the information that the print version contained. He currently resides in St. Louis Park, MN and is a commercial real estate broker.
  7. I always liked Peter for his hard work and attitude on the ice. He will forever be remembered in Sioux history for his goal in the Final Five.
  8. Great Point, i've been trying to say that for a few days, but you definitely echoed my sentiments exactly.
  9. Sorry, I should have said another gunman on the grassy knoll.
  10. I was just joking with you. The way the whole process has gone, I have really no idea what to think about the whole situation.
  11. do you believe there was a second gunman on the grassy knoll? lol
  12. I couldn't agree more and I believe there are a lot of fans/alumni who are feeling the same way about the situation.
  13. Sorry PCM, but I just wanted to see if I could get the announcement on here before you did. lol
  14. Pat Sweeney just reported on the 5:00 sports that UND will hold a press conference at 2 on friday to discuss something related to hockey. I wonder what it could be.
  15. That is exactly my point, if they would open it up nationally and still hire Hak, it would really shut a lot of people up, but not doing that will leave a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. I will support the coach, whoever it will be, but that does not mean I or others cannot criticize the process in which the coach was hired in the first place.
  16. I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one who is disgusted by how this whole process went down.
  17. Sorry, but I don't find that to be brilliant. Just by naming Hak the head coach will not shut up the people who think the hiring process is a joke.
  18. I've been thinking the same thing, I don't think it would hurt to have our voices heard. This is not a knock on Hak, but I also believe this has to be opened up nationally. After they have opened it up nationally and interviewed all the applicants and they still want Hak, then at least they can say that they opened up the position to everyone. If they do not do this, they will start his coaching tenure off on the wrong foot.
  19. I agree again with you PCM. I would like to see several candidates get a chance at applying for the position. I think it is the only fair thing to do.
  20. I agree with you PCM. I would only add that if there was friction, I'm sure it only made CB's decision alot easier to make the move up to the NHL.
  21. That statement obviously comes from someone who is a basketball fan and not a hockey fan. Also comes from a fan of a team who doesn't have any D 1 Championships at their school. Is basketball more popular? No question about it, you win there, but I wouldn't give up one of our national championships to take part in the "Big Dance". So NDSU gets to the big dance, once over the next 30 years, congrats.
  22. WPoS I couldn't agree with you more. It won't be long until they might start making the fans start wearing a helmet when they attend the games. I hate the netting in the arenas, it does obstruct a person's view of the ice.
