Santiago is the flash and capable of breaking just about anything, but I really think Oliviera is the perfect back for this offense. Hits the hole so hard and never is brought down by just one guy without gaining at least a couple more yards.
Nothing really to do with this game, but in general football would be more enjoyable to watch if they eliminated some of the tv timeouts. Why does there need to be a timeout both before and after the kickoff?
3rd and short I didn't have much of a problem with, it's the first play of the first home game and it's an off-tackle toss, the same thing they'll run a thousand times and everyone knows it's coming.
Struggling because UND is too damn predictable! Everyone knew what the first play of the game was going to be and then they run blitz again on 3rd and short. Predictable.
One other note about Studsrud's stats was that there were waaaaay too many drops where he hit a receiver in the hands and they flat out dropped them. Receivers need to clean those up as many of those completions would have kept drives alive.
Hard to read much into the PSU/Oregon St game, there's all likelihood that Oregon St is plain awful this year and likely will be the doormat of the PAC. Week one they got thumped by Colorado St.
To be fair on that last play, Fiedler came open when the safety saw the pass go the other way. If Studs hits him early, it's possibly a TD but Studs didn't really have much time to go through any progression.
