  1. What a joke.
  2. So two Montana St defenders run into each other and that's pass interference on UND. But the MSU DB's can be grabbing receivers before the ball gets there and that's just good defense?
  3. Yeah, one score is way too high and way too low.
  4. And the Montana st offensive line is getting away with murder. Holy !@#$!
  5. Against a mobile QB like this guy, why the hell are we stunting our outside backers inside so often? How many times has the QB gotten outside by outrunning a DE?
  6. Montana St has no need to put the ball in the air.
  7. Now we need probably 3 or 4 more defensive td's to win.
  8. Yup, this game is over. Offense again can do absolutely nothing. Rudolph has to go. This season is pretty well over. I've seen nothing out of this team to say they will win more than a couple games over the course of the year.
  9. At this point I have to wonder about the coaching staff. I know there are injuries but the team is playing undisciplined on top of that. They lack any kind of fire, there's no urgency, and they simply look unprepared. You have a mobile, athletic QB, and you aren't doing anything to contain him. Game is over at this point.
  10. Well, this is embarrassing again. Two weeks in a row they look like garbage.
  11. It woudl be nice to actually watch this game
  12. 3 and out. Offense is a mess. Receivers cutting off routes, Studsrud completely whiffing. Video cutting out. Yup, total crap show.
  13. Offense is going to have to win this game, it won't be the defense.
  14. Aaaaand ran a twist right into their option. DE couldn't get outside for contain. No one else out there. *sigh*
  15. Incredibly weak late hit call. Wow, these refs have their heads shoved up their butts. And Disterhaupt has to make that tackle. He's spying the QB for that reason.
  16. Not sure what had the Montana St. coach so butthurt there.
  17. And they are running straight at our inside backers. Not surprised.
  18. I'm having zero problem with it. Running better for me than espn3.
  19. Terrible PI call, defenders ran into each other. Wow...

    Injuries

It's not that simple. Physically yes, they are large enough and that size would be beneficial. However, the ILB has all sorts of reads, adjustments, and sometimes plain old instincts that are necessary to be successful.
  21. Have we fallen in the rankings or has Portland St been playing exceptionally well?
  22. I don't think you'll find a lot of people calling for the end of Bubba or Schmidt, there is still a lot of faith in them. Schmidt is dealing with a tough break in that he has no inside linebackers due to injury and attrition. What you are hearing is the call for the head of the OC (and some for the special teams coach). The offense is mostly unimaginative and emphasizes ball control but starts far too slow too often. Some of the best displays of the Rudolph offense have been when they are playing from behind and the offense is put into Keaton's hands. The offense that Rudolph wants to run relies on a dominant offensive line and we haven't really had that for awhile. Through three games the line has either been flat beaten or held even. People thought the Utah game was an aberration due to the skill of the Utes line and that could be the case. The second game they struggled to get a push for quite some time against what's considered to be one of the worst MVFC teams, they eventually opened holes but only after the passing game was fully established. Then there is the USD debacle where the line flat out got whipped. There was supposed to be more depth and more skill this year with the offensive line and we're not really seeing any of that. So either UND needs to place a much higher emphasis on the type of linemen they are recruiting, or else the offense simply needs to adapt to not being able to control the line of scrimmage. Sorry, this got longer than I intended. Just frustrated seeing the same offensive woes game after game.
  23. The concerns about the team and that have so many people disheartened are due to the two main weaknesses through 3 weeks. That being the offensive line and any lack of consistent push, particularly in the running game which is supposed to be our bread and butter. And the lack of depth, experience, and size with the linebackers. Any team with any intelligence is going to attack our inside backers over and over again. Those two weaknesses are incredibly hard to cover up and are major components of both sides of the ball. Add in the plethora of undisciplined penalties and then the lack of emotion during the thumping last week and you have a recipe for a let down season. Coaches can and should be disciplining and trying to straighten out the penalties, but it's on the players to show up with an attitude to smack the other team in the mouth.
  24. UND takes it 3-1
  25. Audio is awful on this.
