  1. Tom Miller tweets & recruiting article...
  2. Yep, that won't hurt. I did read an article on Jones where he said the Gophers staff would not recruit another RB if Jones signs... http://www.gopherhole.com/news_article/show/340881?referrer_id=394965 It will be interesting to see if Jones stays true to his Minnesota verbal.
  3. What I've read is that Nelson will lose a year of eligibility if he transfers to a B1G school, so he would only have 1 yr of eligibility remaining. If he transfers outside of B1G, he has 3 years to play 2.
  4. It's possible that Jones doesn't end up at Minnesota. He has visits to Florida & Michigan lined up after his performance in the Under Armour All-Star game.
  5. http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/240624351.html Nelson says he wants to go to a program that utilizes the passing game more. He was pretty highly recruited out of HS & did play as a true freshman at MN, wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer to a FBS school.
  6. Carson Shanks tweet (retweet from Tom Miller)....
  7. These are the players leaving I remember seeing on here or other outlets: Jameer Jackson - transfer to Mankato Kenny Golladay - transfer to Northern Illinois Darryl Brown - transfer to Duluth Mike Edwards - transfer to juco Joel Isenberger - transfer to Winona Ryan Cain Anthony Fletcher Rumeal Harris Dan Konowalski Dustin Adams - injury Cam Kuksa - injury status unkown PJ Sparks - ? - rumored to move to Cali, some say he's back in GF This is what a remember, may be a few more, I'm not sure. Feel free to add to or make corrections to this list....
  8. I believe Cain & Konowalski are gone as well. I wish some official update would be given on Kuksa... Nobody seems to know exactly what is going on.
  9. Maurice is RB coach (though no official announcement yet) He did play RB in college according to his Purdue bio. His personal twitter says he is RB coach here as well. Any thoughts or rumors on OL coach?
  10. I would think that Rudolph possibly would take OL if he was to add a position. He did have both OC/OL duties during his time at St. Cloud. Its been rumored that Freund has been seen w/ the new coaching staff so he is probably being retained. QB coach again or perhaps WR coach? 2 more hires will be made for the 3 open spots (OL, QB, WR) (4 when you add in TE's), so 1 or perhaps 2 coaches on the Offensive side will be pulling double duty.
  11. I posted this last week after Rogers & Gigli hires, it stated that there would be 9 assistants on Bubba's coaching staff.... http://www.undsports...TCLID=209361805 So far we have: OC - Rudolph QB - Freund? (expected) OL - ? WR - ? RB - Maurice (recruiting coordinator as well) ST - Kostich DC - Schmidt LB - ? (maybe Schmidt) DL - Gigli DB - Rogers (could see Bubba helping here too) That's 10 spots, so presumably Schmidt would handle LB duties as well. If it's true that Freund is retained for QBs, then we are just looking at OL & WR coaches. Or perhaps Freund coaches WRs & a new QB coach is hired. I imagine 1 of the Off coaches would handle TEs as well.
  12. https://secure.forumcomm.com/?publisher_ID=1&article_id=334928&CFID=540833149&CFTOKEN=55080928 Article on Kostich family from fall 2011.
  13. Kostich is around 27 or 28, so yes really young. Graduated from Moorhead High in 2004, he did play QB there. I don't believe he played college ball, but went to U of M instead. Coach's kid & has been around the U of M program as an intern & grad assistant for the last 5 years. I'll trust Bubba that Kostich is knowledgeable & has enough experience from a Big 10 program to be an effective here. Typically, how much recruiting responsibilities do grad assistants have at FBS schools? I'll assume he has some connections throughout the twin cities metro.
  14. I did listen to part of the WCCO podcast from Sunday w/ Jerry Kill. He mentioned that he just helped Shawn Kostich get a full-time coaching position but could not say where it was at this point. (About the 13:00 mark of this link...) http://minnesota.cbs...s&dcid=CBS.MINN WARNING: You will have to listen to Sid Hartman. Also, Kostich's dad was longtime Moorhead High coach & is now OC at Concordia.
  15. Saw on twitter this morning that Dressler has a tryout w/ KC Chiefs this week. Also, the Sask. Roughriders could be negotiating w/ Hardin (if he is not taken in the NFL draft) http://www.rodpeders...lie_13.html?m=1
  16. It would've been a long shot to get Tibesar to UND as HC. He's not coming back as a position coach. Worst case scenario for Tibesar is he ends up as a LB coach at an FBS school. Like Hayduke said we can't afford him.
  17. He must be here... Not sure, I wasn't at b-ball game, just going off of what I saw on Wilkie's twitter.
  18. Wilkie did tweet a pic of Quinton Hooker at the b-ball game. Both played in Northwest Suburban Conference
  19. This was posted yesterday on Football Scoop... Doesn't look like Muss will be getting the SIU OC position. The OL coach is now open there if Lennon would be interested in Muss for that...
  20. SFI tweet mentioned coaches made visits to verbal Deion Harris & offeree Ezra Szczyrbak from Moose Lake-Willow River (Disterhaupt's school) lately. According to Szczyrbak's twitter, it looks like he is visiting UNI this weekend.
  21. Was Myron Allen the guy that was declared ineligible because he had participated in a FM Beez scrimmage or something?
  22. Exactly, love to see it. I thought it was BS that Jones was never offered by the previous staff.
  23. RB Josh Parks (Chisago Lakes, MN) will visit UND Jan. 31. http://247sports.com/Player/Josh-Parks-31993
