Any reporting out there on camp? I watched the Bubba interview on Youtube, but that was awful. I like Bubba, but there is not substance to any of his comments. Everyone works hard, and is doing what is asked ... it is always the most vanilla interview.

Pretty sure Kleven got up and threw a hard cross check as well.

He was the best. I remember watching him mouth off to a guy pre face off. Drew a hug slash before the puck was even dropped and he just smiled as the guy went to the box.

If Vaughn was not the QB of the future, and who the heck know .... I would see him as more of a Seth Green from the Gophers than a Brock Boltman. BB is faster and shiftier, I think Vaughn is more of a sizeable power runner who can pick up a couple yard for you on 3rd or 4th down by running it up the gut. That being said, I still think it is way to early to jump the gun and say Schuster is the hands down favorite, or that Vaughn will switch positions or Feeney will play early. Schuster - Played great when he was called upon, but that was extremely limited. Hopefully he can continue that, but I just don't think there is enough substance to know. I know some talked as though he would have been FBS caliber if he were 4 inches taller, though that is a lot of speculation. Vaughn - Size, power and strength. I have not clue on accuracy, other than what I read on here. Certainly some hype with his recruiting, and definitely potential there. I hope he gets some playing time this spring. Seems like some guys can really turn in on in a game, hope he has that factor. Neal - I feel like I remember Miller writing that he looked like the most athletic kid of this group. So maybe he is actually more of your mobile QB, but he probably needs to put on a little more size. Feeney - We know he can tear apart HS defenses, but college is a whole different deal. Fortunately we seem to have some depth and talent, so there should be no need to rush this kid into playing unless he completely stands out. Haven't watched him myself, so I can't really breakdown his play, but I think he will also do well to pack on a little more weight for durability. Definitely the most exciting group of QBs we have had in a long time, but again, between all of these guys, how much college experience is there? It is almost all potential and speculation at this point, which makes this Spring all the more fun. Not burning any eligibility, we are kind of playing with house money in terms of preparing for next fall. Now I have rambled long enough, but it should express my level of excitement for this team to get going!

I don't want to minimize Schuster's capability, but a lot of people have put a lot of stock into 1 game of live action. I really hope the kid can keep it going, but I haven't seen him at practice, and his live game action has been so limited. I think we need a bigger sample size to really have any idea. That being said, I agree with @SkoHawks I just hope whoever plays does well, but the other guys get some meaningful reps. This spring is an opportunity to develop key depth for the fall.

Sure, hope there will be some reporting on camp, position battles, true freshman we can expect to see get some playing time, etc. I'm craving some UND football!

Glad these guys finally get to play in front of some fans. Will be nice to hear some cheering and celebrating on tv.

Yeah, I don't think I would want this setup every year, but I'll take some UND football any way I can get it this year. Like you said, lots of football yet to watch, and that is definitely a good thing.

Yeah MM won't ever suit up for UND. That story is done ... right, wrong, or indifferent. At this point, I'm just curious what, if any, actions this team is taking to continue getting better. Its an exciting year to be a UND fan. Just too bad we couldn't have seen last year through as well.

Exactly what I have been saying. I have to imagine the only reason they wouldn't do this, is they assume the players would get more game time experience elsewhere.

Because throwing the ball always means you are a leader? I get this is often the case, but when you have nothing but Freshman, they would have to be pretty exceptional in the leadership department.

Well super disappointing to lose the game the way we did, giving up the game winner at the end of a 5 min major, but the team knew they had to limit penalties in this game. Dumb play by Budy. Silver lining, the loss was to a good Denver team, not Caniscius. Now a very important part to the chemistry of this team, how can we bounce back. We go from losing to a good DU team to playing a tough UMD team that will play tough defensively. Have to bounce back and get a W.

Doesn’t really make sense for them not to, given the ncaa eligibility situation this year. You’re not really burning a year on anyone. Though maybe they wanted to make sure guys were getting more game time elsewhere, rather than sitting in the stands with the team. Who knows.
