Likelihood Iwarri Smith plays this weekend?
-
Agreed, now they are saying that the only thing they would make people turn inside out are things that are inappropriate or offensive to tribes. Siouxper Drunk or Sioux Suck type shirts. Still not sure if they can actually enforce that, but whatever. 2 types of view over there. Obnoxious fans that just ridicule everything said, sensible fans that think their school should just stay out of the nickname issue.
-
I guess I understand them not wanting to be criticized for not doing enough to oppose the use of sioux names in their building, but trying to alter what people where, will only create more controversy on it all. Bisonville is split on vulgarity of the use of the Sioux name. So want it, most done. Reality is, it will happen. Same as our vulgar chants with the Gophers in hockey. I'd be ok getting rid of all of that. Want to chant, get more creative.
-
The word over on Bisonville is apparently NDSU is going to try to ban, any and all Sioux apparel from entering the stadium. Forcing people to turn anything with the Sioux name and logo inside out. Not sure this is something they can enforce or not, but I'm sure it will be controversial, and I'm sure it will not work.

Thanks for bringing it up, I think we should stay UND! I kid, I kid! ........ NO NICKNAME TALK ........ (BUT SERIOUSLY, GO SIOUX!)
-
Lack a running had to be based on terrible O line play. What happened? Do that next week and we will get hosed.
-
Expected way more. Next week will be really rough of we can't sustain a drive and let our D rest.
-
Losing my confidence for next week. Win is a win, but this got ugly.

Nice catch by cerentino

Way to many mistakes in the game. Clean that up or we will get smoked next weekend.
-
I don't think anyone is saying overlook them. Yes, they are a veteran squad, but this is a non-scholarship team. If UND wants to compete with NDSU, MT, E.Wash ... they should be beating teams like Drake by a good Margin. UND beat Drake 16-0 at a time when UND was not as good as they are now. UND smoked Valporaiso a few years ago. No game is a freebie, which is why upsets happen, but this is a team we should beat soundly. A close game would make me much more nervous for the following weekend.

Bahahaha. He was painful to listen to last weekend. Referred to Deion Harris and Deion Sanders.

Disappointed, but not completely shocked. I would still think our program has taken a step in the right direction, with the way we handled Wyoming. Regardless of who wins, UND fans have much less that we can trash talk about. NDSU fans can talk about our program being garbage, based on the previous several years. While there is no denying the success that NDSU has had recently. I'm hoping for a close, competitive, and entertaining game. Really hoping our defense can keep doing what they are doing. If something goes wrong, and we get smoked then so be it. As a fan, we can only hope the team learns from it, and moves on to the next week. Losing any game is disappointing, getting completely blown out would be even tougher. That being said, as much as I want us to win the rematch, there is still a long season ahead and a lot of tough Big Sky teams we need to beat. Eyes would still be set on playoffs. I going to assume our fan base's reaction to a win or loss, would be similar to the NDSU fan base. There will be some people who can take it for what it is, and there will be some sore losers.

I agree with Geax_Sioux, mix Smith into the receiving game. Maybe not exclusively, but that is where I was hoping he would play right after he committed.
-
SFI just tweeted they expect both Oliveira and Smith to play tomorrow. Not sure how much, but both are expected to play.
-
Agreed. After the way our D played against WYO, we should not allow more than a field goal. Maybe two. 38-6 SIOUX!
-
Yeah, that was me. I definitely think, there will be a heavy load of excuses, IF we pull of the upset, but there will definitely be a crowd that will give credit where credit is due. Not all of there fans are bad. As much as I am looking forward to UND/Drake this weekend (good opportunity for us to make a statement and cleanup our game a bit), I am interested to see how the Bison bounce back against Weber St. So glad football is back and can't wait for the 19th!

Has Fabbro set a timeframe for his decision?

Between what we have heard about these players preseason, their showing in the first game, and the way Bubba coaches this team, there are a ton of possibilities for this team this year. Very exciting!
-
I have to think that Bubba won't let these guys get too high on the win. They need to use this week to clean up mistakes, and prepare for the more challenging team they face. I don't mean look past Drake, I mean use it as an opportunity to continue and improve on efficiency and executions. Looking forward to actually watching the game this weekend, and I hope it isn't even close. Yes, a win is a win, regardless of the margin; but good teams should have a nail-biter against teams like Drake, so lets be a good team.
-
Pretty impressive that one guy named Will can keep up with a whole team.
-
At one point deion sanders played CB for us.
-
Agreed, no reason this game should even be close, but we have to be ready to play. Good opportunity to work on some things and cleanup some mistakes. Should be fun.
-
I know, he takes it a little too far. I'm all far supporting your team and even giving other teams a hard time in good fun, but he takes it to the next level. Whatever.
