Good lord, our corners cannot tackle.
-
Yeah I really don't understand what the hell Rudolph is doing? You can just tell what UND is going to do before the snap, and you can see the Bison line up accordingly.
-
Is there a reason we keep punting right down the middle to shepard? Kick to the side.
-
Well this is getting hideous really fast. O can't do anything, and seriously who calls a run on 3rd and 12?
-
Win or Lose, I love the confidence. Can you even imagine the Bison having to go into the Alerus for a playoff game. So improbable, but funny to think about. Long season ahead of us, let just go get a W.
-
Agreed, and while I don't know if we will establish the run, this defense gave up 38 pts to MT and 14 to Weber, I hope we score more that 7.

Realistic Prediction: 35 - 17 Thundering Terd Hopeful Prediction: 30 - 27 Sioux!

I guess I meant more from a team or player perspective. From a fan standpoint, I think both sides have fans that are pumped. I know there is a vocal group of Bison fans that they they never wanted this game, but most fans do. One of my work buddies said he is as, or more, excited than he was for some Bison playoff games. Should be a great time, just wish I could have made it up to Fargo this weekend.

Strange thing there is its not like our fumbles really came from their D trying to strip the ball, and take big swings to rip the ball out. Just really bad ball security by Santiago, and not sure what was going on with Studrud taking the snaps. Can't imagine we will have those kinds of issues two weeks in a row.
-
Could be, I'm not sure. Hadn't heard that part of it, but hadn't really dug into the issue much either.

Just posted this over on Bisonville. Kind of my assessment on the game. A couple things to keep in mind about why this is a big game. It is not just the renewal of a in-state rivalry game with a lot of history behind it. That part is fun, and adds to the interest, but lets looks at the game for what it is. Many people on this board (Bisonville) have said this is just another game, and to a point they are very correct. It is just another game the Bison don't want, or expect, to lose. Just like they wouldn't want, or expect, to lose to any other team on their schedule. That's where the program has gone over the past several year, NDSU just doesn't expect to lose. Doesn't matter if it is UND, UNI, K-State, etc. BUT with a loss to MT already in the books, the team really does not want to drop a game, especially a game that should be a win (regardless of it being against UND). 1-2 would just not be acceptable with where that program is at, and would certainly put more pressure on the team going forward. For UND, there is obviously a ton of hype being built up about the rivalry, way more in the GF media than the Fargo media, because this is a bigger game for UND. UND has way more to gain in this match up. Even if this wasn't NDSU, it would still be a big match up. If we had Coastal Carolina on the schedule, it would be huge. Any time your program has an opportunity to play the best, your team needs to be pumped about it (If you ever want to be the best, you need to play the best). From an FBS level, we saw that a few weeks ago, when the Gophers got to play TCU, in what was an entertaining game where the Goofs just killed themselves.Ultimately, there are rivalry implication, there could be some recruiting implications; but overall the teams should, and probably are, prepare for this game like they would any other game. NDSU needs to go out and play their game, just like they did against Weber. UND needs to go out, and understand they are playing top tier competition, execute the game plan and limit mistakes.Win, Loss, Route or be Routed ... Saturday should be fun.

My understanding was, in the past, there was an exclusivity agreement, that NCHC games could not be broadcast through other national outlets like Fox; only CBS. This really seemed dumb, since the Fox College Sports broadcast worked so well prior to that CBS agreement. UND and the NCHC need to push really hard to be able to broadcast though FCS, if the game is not already on the CBS Sports schedule. I'm not sure if this is something they can do, or are working on doing, but watching on FCS was way better than the NCHC online games. The quality of those seemed to vary from game to game.

Agreed, definitely can't turn the ball over against a more talented team. I don't see the Bison turning the ball over much either, but we can't be dropping interceptions like we have been.

Big question, if we can't establish the run, we are going to be in for a long afternoon. Establishing the run doesn't just help us put points on the board, but extends drives to give our defense a rest. Too many 3 and outs, and I still think our D will keep it close in the first half, but if this happens our D will get wore out by the 2nd half and that it where we would lose it. UND must establish the run, extend drives and keep the defense fresh.

Don't argue Jim on the numbers game, you'll just embarrass yourself; and don't overlook the point he was trying to make. Putting too much stock in computer stats this early in the year doesn't carry a great deal of weight.

It would definitely be nice to have Kenny Golladay and Jameer Jackson in this lineup this year.

Agreed, and their fanbase should be excited about it. They are seeing all this hype about a game, an old rivalry, another fun day to go tailgate and watch football. On top of that, they believe they would absolutely blow away the good guys. Can't blame them. If I was in their spot, I'd feel the same way. Sweet we are going to absolutely dominate the other Dakota school, this should be fun. Now anything can happen, but what I really would like to see is people rebuild the rivalry.
-
Probably not, a UND win would be like putting gas on a fire.
-
Keyword is few. Sure there are people that don't want this game, but there are plenty who do. Doesn't really matter, its going to happen regardless.

This was posted over on Bisonville, you gotta love a sense of humor. This actually was pretty funny. Gave me a good laugh anyway. Originally Posted by Bison Loaf It IS a trap. Fight with the NCAA and get them to ban our nickname, so that NDSU doesn't know which nickname to do the "suck chant" to. 3. Let them win 4 straight national titles to become overconfident. 4. Make our own football team look as bad as they can in the years leading up to "The Game". (Note: a guy by the name of Mussman can help with that.) 5. Send down a poster to engage in "serious" and "respectful" banter the week before the game. (Don't worry, they'll fall for it.) 6. Go into the Fargo Dome and kick some Bison ass. 7. Hello Respect! Hello GameDay! It is so simple! I can't believe I didn't see it before now!

True, Bridge water looks rough out there, but their O line looks terrbile. Its like watching UND's O Line against Drake all over again.

Another year of hypin up the Vikes, another year a disgusting play on the field.

Wear your Sioux Suck shirt proudly. Won't bother me.

Vraa and Urzendowski are both tough though, always have to account for them.
