  1. Like how Brock Boeser is gonna hang another 3-4 goals this weekend against Western?
  2. Unless you are talking about preseason conference picks?
  3. Agreed, this team has the potential to make the finals ... heck they could even win it. They also have the capability to be #1 or #2 next year. However, in no way is our potential ranking next year dependent on how we finish in the Big Sky Tourney this year. We could win out and make the NCAA tourney, then have a bad year next year OR we could lose out in the first round of the Big Sky Tourney this year and then come back strong to dominate next season. One is not dependent on the other. Either way, we will return significant talent next year.
  4. Seriously guys ... everyone needs to relax. I started this, purely joking, about who was going to be the coach next year....since obviously Chuck Fletcher is going to hand the job to Bubs with an offer he can't turn down. Then we can further mock the gopher fans about how great UND is and what a joke The Don is.

    2016 Season

Agreed, hopefully he turns out to be solid. As much as I would like to talk up his height, we could also say that about baskketball .... Got a nice 7' by the name of Shanks who has been less than impressive this year But seriously, if he has the physical piece, then I hope he has the decision making skills too.
  6. No thanks! Friday/Saturday series are perfect. Thats how it always was growing up (even when I was a gopher fan), and I would personally not want to see it any other way.

    2016 Season

I would like to know when (if it does happen) we can expect to hear something concrete on Grady. Rumors that he is all about coming back to school, and the coaches are willing to work with him are great; but when do we hear that he IS back and IS eligible? Is that an early summer kind of thing? Or is that something that would come out right before fall camp? I assume it depends on what he would need to do in school this summer, and how much he could complete in school, but I'm really anxious to at least hear a rough timeline.

    2016 Season

Agreed, I would have preferred to see Joe get a chance too, but I've never been a big Bartels fan. As far as I'm concerned, Bartels should (and probably will be) 3rd on the depth chart when the season starts. He showed in his limited action last season that he is just not capable enough. At that point, get the next guy in to get some experience. Hopefully Studs stays health the back QB question in a non-factor.
  9. ^This!
  10. Stupid Fabbro!
  11. Hahaha, Yes. He said he wan't nothing to do with the NHL after the recent article about goofer hockey. There are too many NHL scouts that are big meanies.
  12. Haha, I actually almost wrote it that way too. It would also be a wonderful bit to torture the Gopher faithful with. Not only is their coach not as great as many like to believe but UND is now sending 2 head coaches to the pros and one to MN! That being said, I'd rather see him win it all and bring multiple titles back. Hopefully Berry sticks around for quite a while.
  13. Sooooooo..... When the season is over and the MN Wild make Brad Berry an offer that he can't refuse, do we expect Dane Jackson to be the next UND head coach
  14. How weird is that guy on the left!?!?!?!?!
  15. Didn't Portland St. smoke Eastern Washington? Not sure I would go straight to a bad team. N Arizona is a bad team. Portland St. is a team that could upset someone in the Big Sky Tourney.
  16. And shanks just sucks
  17. Big game! Can't wait!
  18. Still hate the name, probably never going to love it, or the logos. BUT I could live with either of these. They're not too bad. Although I don't see them landing on the hockey jersey's I think they will stick with the North Dakota or ND, which is fine. The first concept logo, actually looks pretty decent on the football helmet.
  19. Hard nosed I'm fine with. Playing the body over the puck in the right situation I'm fine with. Putting your stick into a guys back near the boards isn't a smart play. Especially the way the league has cracked down on CFB is just not smart. Potentially save your team one night, just to risk them by being suspended. I'm also not trying to bash on Stecher here. Its not like he is out there taking bad penalties on a frequent basis, which made it all the more surprising. Hate losing him, but we have enough depth that we should be fine. I'm more concerned about seeing our guys get the scoring touch back.
  20. I'm not going to completely bash the official for the Stecher call. It was a stupid hit to make, at a very stupid time to make it. Particularly for a guy who typically doesn't make that kind of play. It certainly wasn't a huge (Paukovich/Bina) type hit from behind, but it was definitely into the back and close enough to the boards to make it a borderline suspension call. If the roles were reversed, at least half of the posters on here would have been calling for an immediate suspension. I hate losing stecher, but I can certainly understand the call. We certainly aren't the first team to get the wrong side of a borderline call. Duluth fans were up in arms about the OT penalty shot on Friday, and I have to agree with them. Again, if the roles were reversed, I would have been irate about that being a penalty shot. It was a trip, but I don't think it was worthy of a penalty shot. Nevertheless, the teams and players need to make the most of opportunities regardless of the call, which Pogo did. As for this weekend ... next man up.
  21. Depending on where you are, there may be a bar that has the game. Though, drinking and eating at a bar, will be more expensive than 17.50.
  22. Obviously we just need to take care of business and control what we can control by winning. But it would do a lot for to SCSU get some losses. UND will also need to make some noise in the NCHC playoffs. Right not it is looking very difficult for us to overtake SCSU in the pairwise, which could have some seeding implications when it comes to playing in St. Paul. Unless, the NCAA is smart enough to realize that North Dakota would sell out the X, and SCSU won't; but considering they still think that having regionals in places like Cinicinatti is a good idea, I won't get my hopes up. I can't imagine the whining we would hear from Husky fans, if they edged us in the pairwise, and didn't go to St Paul.
  23. Both games are on NCHC.tv. Saturday's game is also going to be on ASN.
  24. So espn already says we lost 61-58, but we're down 63-61 at the moment
  25. Agreed, but how much can ya blame jones. These players have shown they csn get it done. They have made the free throws in other games. Players have to be accountable here.
