Mine consumption usually depends on the intensity of the game. Close game with a lot of nerves and a lot riding on the game, the beer goes quicker. If anyone remembers back to the Sioux/Gopher game where Evan Trupp hit the baseball goal in OT .... well it was a bad night to have a kegger. Especially, when you had to work the next day. Another reason afternoon games are better than night games. At least the over/under is on beer and not whiskey.

UND's offense took a step forward last week in terms of getting points. This week they take another step forward in terms of finding consistency throughout the game. Fewer 3 and outs. O-line will find a little more consistency and the running game will take another step forward. Last season Big Sky play is when UND's offense started to find itself. I think that it because of the types of defenses that we will see within the conference, and I think our offense starts to find itself again. All eyes will be on Santiago after last year; their coach was very clear about that, but I think Santiago still finds some room to run. Oliveira too. I think Brady could have a really big game. Last year we threw the ball 11 times (completing 7) against Mt St. We ran the ball 52 times! I know their defense will look different this year, but I think we see a heavy dose of the run game against a big sky opponent. And for the love of God, please make John Walker look ridiculous - Maybe get Santiago into the secondary and juke him out of his shoes. Mt St will likely have a game similar to what their coach was talking about, with UND giving up a few big plays, but UND getting to the QB enough with blitzes and junk throughout the game. Aren't all of the MVFC games on ESPN3 too? That would be a nice feature over Eversports. Not sure why the Sky doesn't try to negotiate into that type of a deal. That would have been a better announcement than their stupid app.

But it was fun to see them get punched in the mouth last week with USD, SDSU and UNI all losing to Sky teams.

Haven't the summit schools had more success in the NCAA tournament recently, as compared to the Big Sky? I'm not expert on basketball, I just don't understand why there is so much hate on the Summit. I'm not too partial either way. I like the Big Sky, because it is what I have know over the past few years. Starting to recognize the teams and the players more, but that would happen with a new league as well. I certainly like the ideas of being with the other Dakota schools. Like I said, I'm pretty impartial either way, just don't understand why people hate on the Summit, MVFC certainly wouldn't be a bad thing. Despite the fact that we all get sick of hearing how amazing they are, they are a very solid conference.

Just listened to the podcast from Colter, and now I'm really pumped for Saturday. I also really liked the MSU coach, did a nice job speaking about UND and really seemed to know our team pretty well. Also though he addressed the question over John Walker pretty well, considering it was a weird situation. Looking forward to Saturday.

Yeah, I'm still going to scroll through my tv guide here in Minneapolis. Every once in a while there is a game that I didn't realize was scheduled for TV; always the preferable way to watch it. Wish we could get more games on Fox College Sports, heck even utilizing ESPN3 would be a nice streaming option, or as many have mentioned... some sort of streaming app.

Right, I didn't mean they are unimportant. I just meant that if we win the games we need to going forward, the actual ranking will happen. It may not happen with 1 win or 2 wins, but with Montana St. on the road and Cal-Poly at home, there is an opportunity to get some pretty quality wins. Just focus on getting 1 win at a time and the rankings will fall into place.

Predictions: If/When UND comes out of Bozeman with a win, do we hop back into the polls? On the one hand, this is not the highly ranked MSU team of years past. On the other hand it bring us to 2-2 with close losses to a, now ranked, Stony Brook, and a FBS Bowling Green. I really don't care if we are ranked or not, I figure as long as this team does what it needs to do, especially with the schedule we have, the rankings will take care of themselves. Just curious what others think.
