Absolutely, my point is it is pretty crazy how volatile the pairwise is right now. A lot can be gained or lost in these last two weeks and the conference playoffs.

For what its worth, I was just playing with the PWR tool on CollegeHockeyRanked.com and was able to get UND up to #4. Will that happen? Highlt doubtful, it would require an absolute perfect scenario, with a lot of unlikely outcomes, and possibly even winning the Final Five; but the fact that it is even mathematically plausible shows how tight the race is in college hockey. I'd be curious to know just how far we could drop as well; though for the sake of being positive I'm not going to look. It all starts this weekend with Miami, lets get a really late season surge.

Agreed, but I wasn't the one saying it was lost. I was only responding that UND does, and should, have higher expectations that most other college programs.

Yeah, well when you have 8 national championship, and have had so many consecutive seasons of home playoffs in the first round, and made the tourney for so many years straight; you tend to have higher expectations than most.

This is the most excited I have been to watch a series in a while. Given how the team played overall last weekend, there is a lot to be positive about going into Miami. That and big playoff implications. I've never seen this team miss the tourney since I became a fan. Hope to see that streak continue! Am I right in saying we could lock up home ice in the first round this weekend with a sweep and a few other things playing out right? I believe a Omaha/CC Split and a Western struggling against Duluth.

Agreed, and makes complete sense. This move aside, I am interested to see what Gersich does. He could certainly use another year (as a lot of guys could), but I think he leaves and gets paid, which I also get. Hope to see him back because he is a heck of a player, and I think as some other players develop around him, he could contribute a lot as a senior.

I don't know much about this guy. What are people's initial thoughts? We still in on Rizzo?

The issue with this team all season has been consistency. We have seen the flashes of what this team can do. UND is not going to be a high scoring team, but when they play their game, they can product enough to match their strong defense. This was by far the best series I've seen them play in a while; with the exception of some bad penalties and poor penalty kill in the 2nd period of Friday, the team was very encouraging. Play like they did this past weekend and we should be able to sweep Miami and, at least, split with SCSU. The key is "Play like we did this past weekend". This has been a tough year to watch overall, but the season is not lost yet. Last time we were on the edge of making the tourney we ended up in the Frozen Four, and as much fun as it was to win the tourney in '16 we were also pretty heavy favorites. It would be really fun to make the tourney and make some noise as underdogs. First step, win and dominate against Miami. Let's see how Berry and his upperclassmen can lead this team.

Spot on. Berry is very likeable, but some of the play last season into this disaster makes him very suspect. Not saying can him, but there are some major questions here. This has been the most disappointing team I have watched since becoming a fan in 03.

I did last year, but I haven't watched nearly as much this year. Hope to see a more exciting product next season.

Not cool, ESPN updated me with a 58-57 final UND win. Then updated me again with a 61-57 win. I’d have been ticked if they’d have blown it after already thinking it was sealed up.

solid point, and there have been plenty of opportunities where we have been outplayed to steal at least one.

Actually I don’t have a major issue with some of the actual players. We have seen flashes from Adams, kawaguchi etc.Consistency is the problem with this team, as in there isn’t any.
