Hey, listen... We aren't pointing and laughing at your situation. We know UND has had and will have our own problems in the future to deal with. We are simply disagreeing with how it has been handled and the inconsistencies that come along with it. We are also pointing out the potential ramifications of worst-case scenarios. We would hope UND would handle it differently is all. But that's just us...

The long-term effect this could have on the 2012 season could be huge.... If it is found that that the players were paid for work they did not perform, they would be ruled ineligible, per the NCAA. If you play ineligible players.... You know the rest.

Given the NCAA's track record of 'righteousness' and political correctness, at what point might they step in and do something, a la the Twitter incident with the Towson WR in last year's playoff game? This has to at least get their attention at minimum. I think ndsu should to take the lead on this rather than risk having the NCAA step in on their own because of the lack of action. Again, UND is not perfect either. It's just unfortunate.

Isn't this an instance where the Head Coach should "suspend indefinitely" pending the outcome of the legal process? Given the details available on it, I tend to think so. Unfortunate situation.

How about the business and revenues it will bring to the Grand Forks business community when hosting high school and college events? This is a win for everyone in GF, with the exception of hockey, who has no need for it.

I've been told that the normal student ticket allotment was sold out yesterday afternoon. However, they are still giving out student tickets to any who request them. I think this is a good idea in the sense that it creates a more fun and exciting atmosphere within the student section specifically. Maybe that will help make their decision for coming to future games this year. Well over 3,000 students should be in attendance at the game tonight, if what I'm being told is true.

I totally agree. If you are in one of the markets that have options for cable, why not just switch to Midco? That will get their attention. CableOne apparently needs a wake up call. Even if you don't have another cable option, drop them and go with satellite. You will still have the same options for UND sports. Start switching your service, they will start listening.

Jayson, While some of this is disappointing to the people who will not have the same TV options as years past (FCS on Direct TV, et al), just want you know that I appreciate your willingness to engage in a discussion on here as a member of the UND Athletics Department. You are going above and beyond the call of duty and I think it's safe to say this is very unique. Thank you for communicating with a bunch of arm-chair rubes (myself included).
