Everyone noticed how Coach Hill did not start Fournier. I think it's because Fournier wouldn't be able to withstand all the booing and would have to leave the game due to intense crying. All my signs were on the jumbotron yesterday! Woohoo!.

As for smiling, I think Murray got the message and now Zach and Drew lost it

You keep hoping I suspect the top grossing jerseys will be: 1. Parise 2. Murray/Stafford 4. Bochenski 5. Schneider 6. Smaby/Greene 8. Jones 9. Porter 10. Brandt/Bina 1-3 because of WJC 4 because of leading scorer and HB candidate 5 Home product and Captain 6 Smaby was a WJC alternate and Greene has name recognition 8 Recent good play and his generally having a good year 9 Same as 8 10 General interest and hometown crowd.

I don't see this happening until the BCS goes up for resigning in 2 years. Why? Because if the PAC 10 could have done that, they would have already after the Oregon debacle. They are going to stick with this until it goes up for recontracting and then, depending upon what changes are made, they'll make the decision then.

What's even funnier is that they chose Chechmanek over him and then, after putting up one of the best GAA and save % in the NHL, they run him out of town too. Philadelphia deserves Esche and Hackett, perhaps one of the most blase' tandems in the NHL along with Boston, Columbus, and Carolina. I leave out the Rangers out of respect for PCM.

I'm saying this so that the Wild can prove me wrong. I say the shutout streek stays intact until well into the Third Period. I have not been impressed with the Wild offense at all this year. Their defense is pretty good, but they need to get things going if they are going to get anywhere this season. The Coyotes are streaky but they seem to be doing well with Boucher. I think they'll continue winning until the scoreless streak is snapped. Again, the Wild will break the shutout streak. Just not until he set the record. NOW: Comon wild, prove me wrong. Everyone else has at least once.

Didn't Minnesota have that last season?

On a seperate but relevant note, just how unlucky can a coach be? Coach Hill has to be one of the unluckiest if not the unluckiest coach in DI over the past two seasons. Players getting in trouble, players leaving the team, team not doing well on the ice.... gosh that's rough. Edit: And UND being the most penalized team in the WCHA doesn't surprise me.

ESPN would hate it except for the fact that we won't be hearing much about anyone other than the HE team for the duration. Should the HE team lose in the semis, then ESPN won't barely cover the series at all. We'll get preempted for some stupid basketball game, I'm sure.

Don't know if it was posted here yet, but fyi: Monday, January 12 at 1 PM Central (2pm Eastern) Fox Sports North (Channel 51 for you Midcontinent users in the GF area) will rebroadcast the Gold medal game from the World Juniors. I think I'll be taping it.

Well, great recap again, PCM. At least now, next time we play SCSU, we know who to point the finger at. Saigo is off the hook on this one (at least superficially). Question is: Who would be our first and who would be our second line? Bochenski isn't a second liner by any means, but neither is Murray, Parise, and I think even Stafford is proving he's a first liner on any other team. Wow, Folks. These times I'd definitely say it would be tough to be Dean. Too many good players, too few slots to place them

I read it and I was amazed at how well those guys can read between the lines. I read Zach's comment to be "right up there with the miracle on ice" Or something to that effect. But the term right up there jumps into my mind. I could not for the life of me find Zach saying that it surpasses or is even equal to the 1980 olympics. Ranks up there is a fair assessment. Take the words as they lay. Isn't that a legal term?

Looking at PCM's stats it looks as though King has been the goaltender that has been better/gotten the most support from the team. Both tender's Save % are not bad being that UAA gives up nearly 40 shots a game on average. My question is: As far as the WCHA is concerned, where does UND rank among WCHA teams as far as penalty minutes per game? 17th nationally in terms of penalty minutes is only because we've only gotten Anderson three times, Adam (I think) for one series and we have not seen D. Sheperd yet. I think if we got more Anderson, Adam, and Sheperd, we could break the top 10 in penalty minutes per game.

Maybe, but only if they don't want to compete. Face it folks, GF theaters suck. Go down to Fargo and look at Century 10 or West Acres 14. Those theaters are real theaters. Now go to a big city like Minneapolis and there are theaters there that put Fargo's to shame. Nevertheless, the outmoded run down theaters in GF have to change. What I would do is what the owner of West Acres did for his theater: Renovate by building around the already built structure. Yes, there are space issues, but if they could do something, that would be more than adequate. OR they could build a new megatheater across the street somewhere and make it a megaplex like West Acres 14 has. Then they can turn Columbia 4 into a cheap theater with limited hours. With this new theater they can house whatever they want in there, stadium seating, install an IMAX if they wish or an extreme screen (like Century 10 has). They could salvage several items from Midco that will save money. True, prices will have to go up some at least for a little bit, but that's the price of capitolism. Whoever acts first will usually benefit the most.

I think a general one is a good idea too: "What the HECK is a SEAWOLF, anyways?"

I agree. I think it would be ridiculous, but there is going to be a problem arising folks. The DIII vote appears to have gone south for CC and now they are saying that the vote may go against CC. That will effectively end CC's competitiveness in the WCHA. This COULD open a slot up in the WCHA for a team as CC could switch conferences to one that they can compete in without scholarships. Even if this happens (which right now, this is pure speculation), Bemidji State would probably get the nod into the WCHA if they applied. However, I'd love to see UNO come to the WCHA under this circumstance. NOTE: Like I said earlier, this may not happen even if CC loses scholarships. It's just speculation and a wild idea I thought up. Also, Findlay nixed hockey and USD fired their AD so that they could put this whole thing aside. So SD hockey doesn't seem like much of a reality.

YaneA- I'm going to be in Section 108 if at all possible. Between rows B and H. Being that I don't know when I'll be able to get in line on Friday and Saturday, I don't know where exactly. I probably won't be able to get there until around an hour to 1.5 hours before gates open.

Anyone remember the tuna cans? Chicken of the Sea? Founrier: Chicken of the Sea...Wolves Lame, but it's better than the Fournier- "I'm Lovin' it"

Just an FYI: Hale made NHL Tonight's top plays of December with a fight. I didn't catch his opponent. Good for David!

Which thread was it that got deleted or under which thread?

Maybe so, but when those players were on the team, how many NCAA schooled Canadians were on the team along with them? Were they alone on the team with entirely major juniors like Tambellini is? I mean, Tabellini reaks of token NCAA if you ask me. And Canuck, Murray was snubbed by Team Canada when everyone here (or nearly everyone here) thought he could have played for them. There has to be resentment for that even if Murray himself harbors none. We are loyal to our players..

Won't fly. The REA doesn't want anyone bringing in any food that you didn't buy there. I got lucky last season and they made me throw out my pack of gum and my bottle of water. I propose modifying it to hanging a Big Mac box from the line instead of a drumstick.
-
I probably won't get there that early. I just want a seat where I usually sit. Or anwhere in section 108 Rows A-G would work too. I have to firm up plans yet. May be coming with a friend.

I'll hold signs this weekend if I can get into the lower bowl. Don't exactly know what the ticket situation is going to be like.
