-
Maine lost and Michigan is down by 2 goals. I love it when I'm right. Maine sucks. They lost 3-2 to LOWELL!!! AHAHAHAHAAHAH
-
FUHER WITH 2!!!! From Fylling!

How else could Sheperd keep this from becoming a rout? Sure, UMD is too good to be routed, but Sheperd doesn't care.

Brosz from Stapleton and Sheperd

God I spoke too soon.

We're at nearly 15 minutes to go in the first. So far, clean hockey with only two whistles counting the goal. I do so hope this stays going on.

We're ALL over them. We need to keep it up and not forget the D

Well hello howdoyoudo ala Genoway!

No, they weren't happy because they were held to charging just a dollar when, if they weren't at a dollar store, they could have jacked up the price to make more profit.

This bracket is very beneficial for Hockey East. The chances of Maine and BC making the FF is better in this bracket.

I really really like Jones. He reminds me of David Hale this year physically. Greene is playing a lot better this year in the smarts department and his footwork has improved incredibly. Smaby is getting all the kinks out and so he's not going to be much of a factor this year. Next year, watch out. Bina is just plain FUN TO WATCH. He doesn't really have the size or anything to be able to play in the NHL, but he's already a crowd pleaser and he will be fore 3 more years after this. Schneider is an enigma to me. I mean, it's almost as if the C on his jersey is tugging at him. He doesn't jump into the offensive play as much as he did last year (Jones has been doing it more this year). Nevertheless, he's already better than some of the d-men currently wearing the Penguin emblem.

I suppose we could call them girly men ala Hans and Frans? http://www.cardmagnets.com/SNL/012.jpg

That goes without saying. I think, if DI trading was allowed, every team in the DI would trade their entire teams plus incoming recruits for Zach. Speaking of your Wild, the traded Hendrickson for a fourth of 5th round pick. I would have thought he'd be worth at least a 3rd or even 2nd round, if not two 4th or lower picks.

Oh yeah! SHeperd! If I were both teams this is what I would do: Immediately following the National Anthem, I'd put UMD's PP unit on the ice and send Greene immediately to the box before the intial faceoff. That way, when Sheperd manufactures the first penalty of the game, he'll go "Penalty on Number 2... oh wait, he's in the box. Nevermind, no penalty." Expect Geisler to be able to mug Parise at will without a call. Prpich (heck ANY Sioux player) touches Lessard and UMD is on the PP for 2. The closest UND will come to PP this weekend will be equalizer 4x4s. Thank Zach our PK is good.

I wouldn't. The Wild play a similar game to the Devils but it really ends there. They like big tough MJ players like Alex Henry and all. A small-ish forward like Parise wouldn't fit in their scheme. Gosh it's hard to think of Parise in any other colors but Red, Black, and White.

Why would they? Cancel basketball coverage to cover hockey? Nope. FSN might if it were the Gophers playing instead of the Bulldogs. No offense to UMD but FSN is just as biased towards the Twin Cities as ESPN is biased to New England.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "PTO"?
-
Oh my GOD! We want to get the best of him, not put the lot of both teams in therapy!

Welcome to the frozen version of hell, Landon. Better yet, what kind of "future considerations" could the Coyotes recieve? It would have to be a draft pick because I doubt very much the Penguins being able to afford high draft picks.

I admit that it would stink if Parise was traded to the Capitols, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. That would happen if (no offense PCM) Parise was traded to the Rangers. From NHL Tonight's report, it appears as though the Caps are going to try to unload everyone but keep one of their players to focus the team around. NHL Tonight could be wrong already as the player they thought the Caps should focus on is Sergei Gonchar. I think (no offense gopher fans) that NJ would be a fit to Gonchar, and players like P. Mart and DeMarchi may be adequate compensation if paired with a few draft picks. Heck, I'd throw in Albelin too. So the Caps fire sale could work to benefit Parise or hurt him. It really depends upon what approach McPhee decides to take: The Rangers and Red Wings approach, or the Devils or maybe even Avalanche approach (they've taken a lot of players from their farm system into the league and only signed a few free agents here and there). I personally hope Parise stays with the Devils.

Doesn't matter. With Adam as ref, I'll guarantee at least 1 5x3 opportunity for UMD per game. Stauffacher will be able to cheap shot at will. 11 penalties for the Sioux on Friday. 9 on Saturday. UMD will have 7 on Friday and 6 on Saturday. Afterwards, Greg Sheperd will congratulate Adam on an ironman 8 days dealing with those thugs known as UND.

Question: Parise got drafted after his freshman season. Why can't Stafford to the same? Why would he lose college eligibility? Could he opt in next year without penalty?
