Question for hockey guru's about transitioning from defense to offense: When I watched some of those east coast teams last year they seemed to transition so unbelievably quick out of their own end. They would steal the puck and boom - an immediate pass would be made to a guy cutting up the ice and off they went. It seemed so quick and effortless. They rarely passed it back and forth between defenseman or setup, etc. Is that a "style" of play thing and UND does not play that way?

You guys are completely missing the point. This started because of the preposterous column about them being a Top 25 FBS team all because they beat an average Kansas State team that is 3-4 on the year (go check out their three wins too while your at it). That is an absolutely terrible reason why they are a Top 25 FBS team. Was it a good win - yes, without a doubt. But it sure as hell doesn't make them a Top 25 team in FBS.

Nothing says Top 25 like beating an FBS team with a losing record (again) by 3 points on a last minute drive. So delusional.

Exactly. Kuksa got an alcohol-related offense in fall camp and was suspended first game. Very similar to Beck's offense.

Uh, no. Not on the road. UND matches up very well with them when you look at the lineups. This one will be down to the final horn.

A "positive" change would be his removal and a fresh start to give UND fans any thread of hope. As I said, if everyone sat quiet and internally stewed, nothing would change. Uproar leads to upheaval.

If all fans sat back and never expressed displeasure and didn't vent about the poor play and coaching of their respective teams, very few coaches would ever be fired. Fans speak with their voices and their pocket books. Whenever the heat gets turned up and attendance falls, AD's make changes. This is exactly what is going on here. Fans are extremely upset and speaking with their pocket books by not showing up and venting on message boards. Faison has to meet his budget every year and he has to be WAY behind this year.

Really? Bison fans could not have been more proud of their "non-revenue" teams as of a few years ago. Bigtime bragging about NCAA appearances, etc. Funny what happens when they all of the sudden suck. I would also classify your WBB team as non-revenue based on the 500 people a game that attend.

Riding in on his white horse to back the Bison! Once again. UND is picked 2nd in the Big Sky and will be pretty good this year. Hard to argue that one, big guy. Also, two years ago UND beat both SDSU and NDSU when the games were at home. Funny how home court seems to make a difference.

I was told directly from the athletic department that as of a few years ago, UND does not get anywhere near the money they should be getting at the end of the year. Apparently the REA is supposed to "write UND a check" (however you say that in non-profit accounting terms) at the end of the year.
