Sure they don't have all the control, but to ignore the value and importance of a head coach in these types of situations is dumb. I remember playing games and my head coaches making immediate and tangible changes that lead to victories and defeats. Many, many, many times.

I'm all about good juju. Watched the games at my buddies this weekend and left my Sioux jersey and sweatshirt in the same spot in his house all weekend and it will remain there through next Saturday. We did they exact same thing last night as we did last Friday. We tried to gain the zone with speed, get the puck deep, behind their d men. Defensively, we again tried to eliminate their zone time and be hard in the zone. Difference between last night and the Frozen Faceoff was execution and effort. All weekend we were hard on pucks and backchecked an forechecked like demons. They were so fun to watch with weekend.

Man, that'd be so sick. He was so effing close last night. How great of a capper would that be?! Pooly is such an animal.

I think you may be overthinking this one. I'd rather hear North Dakota, but I'm not sure what kind of negative motivation there would be. Whatever we change our name to, we still be the U of North Dakota. Starman and the other guy on intermissions said North Dakota plenty of times during the day.
