I'm sure he was told to expect to be the No. 2 in his rookie year, but also to have a chance to get on the ice. Hak and co. had to have told him this. He knows he's the No. 1 whenever Zane leaves.

Also, playing those games put his best player in the crosshairs. He told everyone Anas was essentially a wounded duck. Not gonna argue about it, I just saw it as classless coming into a tourney game. Everything I've heard is Zane and Jordan are all but gone. LaDue is the next biggest risk and it's 50/50. Drake and Stecher are not likely, but there's a small chance. Tucker is intriguing, to me. Honestly, I'm not sure I see a more NHL ready player on this team. Has so much to his game.

Good thing none of us are players then, eh? We all know this. I find it hard to believe any of us are overlooking BU. And the players DEFINITELY aren't. We've got a huge task to take care of next Thursday. That being said, we're still 10 days away and it's beyond intriguing. We need something to fill our time

Sure they don't have all the control, but to ignore the value and importance of a head coach in these types of situations is dumb. I remember playing games and my head coaches making immediate and tangible changes that lead to victories and defeats. Many, many, many times.
