We did they exact same thing last night as we did last Friday. We tried to gain the zone with speed, get the puck deep, behind their d men. Defensively, we again tried to eliminate their zone time and be hard in the zone. Difference between last night and the Frozen Faceoff was execution and effort. All weekend we were hard on pucks and backchecked an forechecked like demons. They were so fun to watch with weekend.
Gotta be better with the penalties as SCSU is very, very, very good on the PP, but that being said, if we are in the same battle mode as last night, we move on. We played desperate and I loved every bit of it.
4-2 Sioux
Parks, Gaardy, Stecher, Pooly
I think you may be overthinking this one. I'd rather hear North Dakota, but I'm not sure what kind of negative motivation there would be. Whatever we change our name to, we still be the U of North Dakota.
Starman and the other guy on intermissions said North Dakota plenty of times during the day.
Everyone take a deep breath....
That's right... in... and out...
In through the nose... out through the mouth....
Good... in.... out....
It's playoff time.
3-1 Sioux.... Parks, Gaardy, Pooly... all three greasers in front of the net.

Who said anything about cheap shots? Finish your check in the corner, hit him in open ice and grind him on the end boards. Nothing wrong with that. He wants to try and play hero, go for it. No reason for our boys to slow down anything whatsoever.
