  1. Berg got one more touch in behind the next and banked it in off Basse's skate.
  2. It's an easy target lol
  3. All you gotta do is look in the rafters of the Herb to understand why they'd react like that. *cough* participation banners *cough*
  4. Not a bad weekend at all, considering we got dominated for 120 minutes
  5. They were shooting from Albertville
  6. Agreed, but just like last night, UND is keeping them perimeter and giving Persson plenty of lanes to see.
  7. Do these announcers truly believe Clown "dominated" the second and third last night? And who are the "Grand Forks media members" who said we got dominated? My goodness
  8. Totally agree
  9. Hey, cmon! Lol I don't know Schmaltz's xG, but I bet Perron and Strinden's are both better. I wholeheartedly agree Schmaltz should be 4C and I would prefer Perron sees much more ice time. Strinden, too.
  10. Tough to not give up lanes when it was 6 on 4. Can't play a heavy pressure PK when down 2 men.
  11. Geno needs new shorts!!
  12. He was so, so, so good tonight. Dumb penalty, yes, but my goodness you are ignoring his entire game because of this.
  13. It's WILD in there. I have an unhealthy addiction to that place. I can't resist going on there lolol
  14. Not according to the Fighting Sioux FB group
  15. I actually don't mind Michelletti. Big time homer, but he typically gives UND it's deserved roses when applicable. The duo, however, really believe Clown is the favorite to win a national championship every season lol.
  16. After last season, a split, like the past 10 games, would be welcome. Man, we need to win tonight. Would be a confidence boost. I bet we'll see Ness.
  17. I'll give it a shot. I agree with Wilbur, this has been a bugaboo of ours a bit at times this year and with how quick St. Cloud seems to be, we'll see a lot of back cutting and players moving in with speed, so our back side wingers need to be responsible for the backdoor and cuts. Especially with the bigger ice at the Herb, we gotta stay responsible.
  18. Watched this game last night Swanson, Boisvert, and Emery showed out. Emery is just so solid. Great skater, super smart, physical. Not gonna score a lot, but he'll contribute right away. Swanson is just a water bug. Non-stop motor, always creating. Could have had three or four assists in the game had the receiving end buried the chance. He's small, but so quick and so smart. Boisvert is big, strong, but fast. He was all over the puck in the game and had a couple good chances. Heil looked shaky a couple times, but made a few really big saves. He looked.... uncomposed?... a little bit at times, but he's pretty athletic. Laurila didn't flash a lot, but had a couple nice touches. All-in-all, a great showing from our future boys, IMO.
  19. Fri - Gaber Sat - OMac
  20. It's kind of weird, but we've lost one time in 2024 and it was in OT. Remove that three-game OT loss streak, UND is 15-2-1 with wins over Minnesota, DU, BU and Wisconsin. I understand the four OT losses don't feel great, but I feel like we're almost ignoring what they've already done based on that three-game streak, and four OT losses. Just feels so weird.
  21. He's done it several times this year and last. Again, not saying he doesn't need to become much more reliable defensively, but he has absolutely done this in his 1.5 years here. He's a gamebreaker
  22. Because Strinden plays that kind of game well. Blake played plenty down the stretch on Saturday, too
  23. Danny Kristo didn't learn how to play in the defensive zone until his junior year. Suggesting Blake needs to have a lesser role essentially ignores his game breaking ability. This isn't an excuse as I know for a fact that he's conscious of play defensively as the coaching staff is reminding him. Diminishing his role in any way, IMO, is not the right choice. He's gotta learn and learning comes with continual reps in big situations.
  24. There's also something to be said about the level of play and experience. Hobie has three career starts against Alaska and Omaha. Persson has obviously seen more of NCHC play, against all teams in all situations. I'm not against a split and giving Hobie the shot, but I'm not close to saying Persson isn't our No. 1.
  25. I know you're kind of kidding here, but there's a 0% chance this is true. This area is, crazy enough, an improvement from last year, but yes, it happens way too much.
