  1. Nah, I wouldn't say that. He believed in himself or what his advisors told him and made his choice. Only thing I had or have concern about is if the people around him are giving the best possible advice. He seems to be having a solid year. He made his move.
  2. We didn't. Which is why I said, "obviously it didn't work out".... was it an early drinking night last night? Or, lack of reading comprehension? Maybe both? Simple questions.
  3. Yep, he did. Signed it when Livanavage did
  4. Totally get where you're coming from. Wish he and the coaching staff would have been on the same page. Would love to have him right now, no doubt.
  5. Totally fine, but I don't think Spicer did anything to show he was ready for college hockey last season like he wanted to be.
  6. Hindsight is 20/20. Those two were apart of a team that was all-in on trying to win a title and provided qualities that were going to help with that vs. a player who would be in the stands. Obviously it didn't work out. C'est la vie.
  7. Right and yeah, I understand the distinction. I just thought that one was a dive haha
  8. Remember, we're no longer in Boston nor playing Minnesota. We'll be fine
  9. TOTALLY agree. This was my assessment of the weekend, summed up. When we got to a puck possession game, we were stronger and more skilled. Celebrini and Hutson are both all-world, but if you take them away, no one stood out all weekend. With the exception of the last 7 minutes on Saturday, we HEAVILY out possessed that team 5 on 5. I would love to see them in the tourney.
  10. Go where? LOL
  11. It makes zero sense. It's a dive or it's a penalty.
  12. I'm legit not a guy that is one to blame the refs, but goodness it was bad. The faceoff violation penalty leading to a 5x3 goal is just so bad. The ref has to use better discretion. They wanted their spotlight and it was gross.
  13. On the road! Excited to see how we do against another really talented team. I was nervous playing the Gophers because of their top end talent and overall, I think we passed that test defensively. I hope we can do it again. Celebrini is really special. Hutson, too. Anyway, I am looking for a breakout weekend for Jayden Perron. He's been good so far, but I think he has a chance this weekend to really get going. Playing against Celebrini, his old teammate, should fire him up. I expect high-octane hockey and that's a game in which he can thrive. I think this weekend is a split, but I'm calling a win today. 5-3 UND Perron, Gaber, Pyke, Jammer, Strinden
  14. Of that caliber? Not really, honestly. TA is not a high end recruit. I hope the kid gets it going again, but the numbers don't lie. Regardless, I understand your overall point, but I wouldn't be overly concerned. Some kids don't hit. It happens.
  15. Boeser, for sure! Hak and Bubbs scooped him. Eaves paid the price for it, too.
  16. So, you'd rather keep a player who's underperforming? No, we find a new player to fill that spot.
  17. I legit, one time, commented that I knew that UND wasn't in hard on a particular player (because I was told that as a fact by two people) and words like "everyone" and "every time" get used saying we didn't want him. It used to be funny, but now it's boring and old.
  18. Exactly. I love legacy players as much as the next guy, but it's smart for the staff to let a guy go when he's not performing.
  19. What's the face for? I don't really understand. Players sometimes just don't develop like we hoped they would.
  20. Lol yep. Was just talking about that a few days ago with a buddy. It happens.
  21. Yep, you can.
  22. I use ESPN+ dang near daily as they offer a huge amount of NHL games and I've always had good luck with any game on there
  23. I took Baseball and Hockey. Baseball was us playing wiffle ball each session. Hockey, we just messed around. My wife took advanced walking 1 credit classes haha.
  24. That's why I said "a little" deeper lol.
  25. I told a buddy of mine that after game 1, the exact opposite in game 2 would happen, and I nailed it. Overall, I think Minnesota is a little deeper and their back end has more "talent", but I think our defensemen know how to play the game a bit more, namely because of seasoning. That's not discounting our freshmen because goodness Wiebe was good on Saturday. Livanvage was good, too. Lots and lots of plusses this weekend.
