We were so, so good through neutral for huge stretches of this game. WMU couldn't break out.
-
Scheel noted this in the post game with the CBS guys. Basically said he felt the guys were picking spots all week in practice and that showed again in warm ups. Three great shots (Senden, Guchi and JBD) were three of our goals tonight. Man, I hope this is the start of something.
-
I guess that does kind of say a lot, too lol. *sigh* haha
-
To be fair, our third line is our best line.
-
Oh my goodness, I completely forgot about that. Whoooops hahaha.

I'm assuming this is coming from something someone said? Are people in this mode somewhere you've seen?
-
I cannot confirm, nor deny this. This would be a devastating development.

BLASPHEMY! Colton is a god in the bubble hockey world.

We playing two tonight?

I'm completely fine with this. Kid is a stud and I've been so d@mn impressed how poised he is.

Didn't see a thread for this, so, let's get it started. What does every one think? Hopefully the break gives us some refocus and energy. Need a win, as we all know. Can we do it in Lawson? We're so freakin' due to break out. Rhett.... hey... Rhett.... Let's get one, eh? 5-3 good guys Rhett, Senden, Kierstad, Jones, Smith

I'm told it's not disciplinary, for sure. Illness definitely sounds more accurate. -

The shape of our program is two bad seasons. One of those, is still not complete. UNDBIZ summed it up, perfectly.
-
I'd say more than TWO FREAKIN' SEASONS. Goodness. If you had it your way, this nearly two year stretch would define our program, it seems.
-
With Scheel in net, we are able to win any game on any night.

This particular forward group? Gooch for sure. Who else were we expecting to take a large leap? Regardless, my point is that it's implied that thr staff and/or Bubbs isn't making the player better. But, that ignores his entire career. With that, yes. I expect next year's forward group to be very much improved.

Yes. Over many years of watching hockey and this program. The recency bias around here is mind numbing.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season

Can't it be both? I flat out mentioned logo rippers and wide shots. Yes, I absolutely think this team has had bad puck luck. The amount of shots we get and possession we have on a consistent basis should be an indication of more goals. Look at DU's first goal last weekend. That's puck luck. How many times have we gotten a bounce like that this season? Not many. -
With not much leaving outside of graduation (I think Colton stays) and assuming we have some good to average progression from all players, we could easily see a jump next year with the type of forward group we have coming in.
-
I think 2019-2020 could be fun, too.

If this is bottom, I'm happy with it haha. Looking at our pipeline, I think it's easy to assume that improvement is likely. But, we shall see. From what I see, 20-21, assuming progression and keeping a few key guys (Kierstad, JBD, Tychonick, Gooch, Scheel), could be a lot of fun for our program. -

I think there's a void of beating goaltenders haha. We've been plagued with zero puck luck and a tremendous amount of logo ripping shots and missed nets. Bringing in four good scorers should help this team. Should lol.
