I restated this. Sorry for the confusion. I agree with you. -
Ditto. That's what I wish we'd all do.

Definitely frustrating to play well against the best and poorly against the "least".... Feels like we should learn our lesson. -
Three years would be a trend, absolutely.
-
I'm not sure I understand this one haha.

So, if it were in the second round, it would have been better? Where's the line? We were in the tournament and, for all intents and purposes, won that game. Consistency is fair. Totally fair. However, I still think we would have been a lot more consistent with Jost. I just don't see it as 2.5 years, at all. One bad call away from playing for a Four in 16-17, one more goal the year after and in the dance.... it feels like an overreaction to last weekend.
-
I'd be willing to bet things get better, this year. I do believe in analytics and I think it's common sense that more possession SHOULD equal more goals. I hope it turns and I statistically, it should, because we do have good players on this team.

I'm confused where the three years narrative is coming from. Not directly coming at you, AJS, as I've see it a few times. Two years ago we dominated BU in Fargo and missed out on a chance to play for the Four on a controversial call. Last year, we missed the playoffs by one game and would have definitely been in the playoffs with Jost, who was a surprise to leave. Sure, it's frustrating and annoying to miss by one game. But, does making the playoffs, barely missing and having a rough half of this season really equal to three years of struggles? To me, they don't Honestly, it just feels like this whole thing is such an overreaction. This season has been really tough to stomach and last weekend is pretty much rock bottom, but like I said in the other thread, if Jost is here and we get one more goal in one of those ties and make the playoffs, are we honestly having this discussion? No.

Disgraceful? Sure, but we have a stinker series every year. Fire able, like is being talked about now? Absolutely not. Anyone who would be calling for Bubbs head on the on the backs of a natty and two tournament appearances is not stable. -

It's so weird, but it seems to be the case. -

So, if this team makes the playoffs last year with Jost, are we having this conversation? ABSO-FRICKIN-LUTLEY.... NOT. That's my point. -

It literally is an excuse (aka, a reason) that this team didn't make the tourney, though. It's a reason they played worse. They lost a player that is a Top 10 draft pick. I get the point... others should pick up the slack. But, that ignores the fact that Jost would have made the team and all the other players around him, better. -

You're still completely ignoring what I asked. Do you think Jost gets that team to the playoffs last year? -
I'm just all done with this whining (not just from you, but in general). I do care, but I'm clearly not as enthralled as you. You do you, boo. I am confident that the pipeline is stocked and this year isn't over. Simple as that.

You can be seriously concerned about it. Enjoy!

In a season that required us to win one more game, yes, I am honestly saying that. He wasn't some throw away. He was a Top 10 overall draft pick. I'll ask again... Do you not think Tyson Jost gets that team into the playoffs? 16 goals, 19 assists as a freshmen. -

So, you're honestly saying that Tyson Jost, a player who showed he can consistently score goals on a team that struggled to score goals last year and is now playing in the NHL, leaving a year earlier than likely expected had no bearing on the team last season? Honestly? -

I'm thinking he was referring to our level of play that night? I mean, I'd say it was up to a national title level. -
Yes. EDIT: In my opinion.

So, because you don't like Pooly's style, we're sinking into some sort of abyss. See what I'm saying? -

Based on UND missing the playoffs by one game and a rough 1/2 of this season? I just don't understand where this is coming from. Look at the pipeline. Look at the current roster (other than some of juniors). We aren't a talentless group that's failing to recruit. -

Not trying to be rude, but these are just straight up ad hominem attacks on Bubbs. We get it, you don't like that the team isn't winning. But, you saying his management of the program is poor is not founded in any truth. He isn't the "rah, rah" guy or the steely-eyed glare guy, so you don't like him. Or, we're not winning, so you don't like him. Just speak it like it is instead of making stuff up.
