Yes. Over many years of watching hockey and this program. The recency bias around here is mind numbing.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season

Can't it be both? I flat out mentioned logo rippers and wide shots. Yes, I absolutely think this team has had bad puck luck. The amount of shots we get and possession we have on a consistent basis should be an indication of more goals. Look at DU's first goal last weekend. That's puck luck. How many times have we gotten a bounce like that this season? Not many. -
With not much leaving outside of graduation (I think Colton stays) and assuming we have some good to average progression from all players, we could easily see a jump next year with the type of forward group we have coming in.

I think 2019-2020 could be fun, too.

If this is bottom, I'm happy with it haha. Looking at our pipeline, I think it's easy to assume that improvement is likely. But, we shall see. From what I see, 20-21, assuming progression and keeping a few key guys (Kierstad, JBD, Tychonick, Gooch, Scheel), could be a lot of fun for our program. -

I think there's a void of beating goaltenders haha. We've been plagued with zero puck luck and a tremendous amount of logo ripping shots and missed nets. Bringing in four good scorers should help this team. Should lol. -

I mean, I think we will. Our freshmen have been good, some really good, and our Sophs are leading the way in most aspects. Scheel is a legit stud... the best freshman goalie I've seen come in. Add that to pretty heralded and top-end scoring forward group, I think we take a step forward. -

I definitely see Senden getting a letter. Colton - C Kierstad - A Senden - A Smith - A I think Kawaguchi and Bowen should get consideration, too. -

You're implying the NA is going to improve our scoring situation, correct? -

*sigh* .... We were talking about players on the current roster, because it is the 2018-19 season and how they could fit on the future roster, and you jumped in with your anti-Bubbs stuff. We were not talking about this. Again, if you don't mind, can you just chill out on this? We all understand you think Bubbs should be fired. Lol sorry my "buddy" offended you? I was thinking we were, at least, forum buddies. Unless, you're going the South Park route, then I approve haha. -

Buddy, until this happens or Bubbs gets fired, can we just chill out on this? We're talking about players on the current roster. Chip in if you have a point relevant to the discussion. -

We're talking about the last potential forward in the lineup each week, not a top 6 player. All three of those players have a spot on NCAA rosters and to say these three aren't college hockey worthy is just wrong. -

I think Bowen's PK ability and speed (which we lack top to bottom) keeps him in the lineup. I do really like Keane, though. Yon does next to nothing, for me. -

Dixon Bowen is a horrible penalty killer and is less physical than Yon? I will disagree with you on those points, emphatically. Keane does seem to have higher offensive ability, but it's certainly not by much. -
Fair point on the PWR. If it helps us, of course I'll cheer for a rival. We've one three in a row, now. So, I'm all done cheering for my rivals, unless it helps UND. I actually did cheer for Duluth previously, but then the 2017 Frozen Faceoff title game happened and I lost all respect.
-
Lack of creativity is certainly a part of this, but good God we miss SO many dang nets and hit the crest on shots. Ugh.
-
I'm never one to cheer for teams in my conference. I don't really understand it. They are our direct rivals. Why would we cheer for our rivals? With that said, I wouldn't mind if CC won one. Absolutely will not cheer for UMD, DU or SCSU unless they are playing Minnesota or Wisconsin. Maybe BC, too lol.

Hahahahaha I 100% believe you and that answer is phenomenal!
-
Yeah, no he didn't lol. That's why we signed Feeney.

Wait, so just so we're clear, we beat St. Clown last weekend with only Poolman in the lineup out of those four. We had all of those other three out and beat the No. 1 team in the country. So, you're saying that because Poolman is out, we get swept? Fine to have that opinion, just making sure.
