  1. These classes don't happen every year. It's just not the norm to have two first rounders in a draft class. I don't see the hole being deep at all. I get what you're saying with dead weight, I just want to see if guys like Bowen, Smith and Hoff can make a jump. I don't really care to shed a lot of the roster, honestly. Who would you like to see get cut? What else would it take to right the ship, in your opinion? We've seen a development in the Sophs this year and our freshman from the start of the year. Another step makes sense. Impact freshmen seems like the remedy, IMO.
  2. I think Smith should get one, but those two are so far and away.
  3. I get ya, man. I may see it a bit differently than you, but we still want the same thing -- for our team to win! I truly believe we're close and I really hope and think this freshman class coming in turns us in a really excellent direction.
  4. I think we'll be Top 3 or 5 for the next three years in regards to the incoming classes, from everything I've heard and read about our recruits.
  5. I guess I don't wholly agree with the premise that Colton isn't a natural leader, but I certainly agree that this team hasn't gone to that next level with him at the helm. Maybe next year? Senden is so impressive. I think he gets an A next season. Saturday was annoying because we immediately started to go to the box and kept going to the box. This took us away from 5 on 5 grinding possession play that we outwork most teams with (and do so to Duluth on Friday). We could never build momentum because of stupid penalties. Ugh.
  6. I'm just saying that we get that you think that.
  7. You already said this lol. Well, close. You said 8. We get that you think we suck.
  8. Yikes, coming in hot lol.
  9. We were perfect defensively last night. Do that again for 60 and we got a shot. It was awesome to see. Let's go, boys! Go get it.
  10. Let's get it, let's go. C'mon boys! 3-2 UND Rhett, Guchi, Tychonick
  11. No Jones.... ugh. Thome in. 10-19-26 18-22-29 21-14-9 5-27-7 3-6 28-2 17-24 4 1 35 34
  12. Scheel week-to-week with a shot to play this year. Good to hear. Less likely to be a long-term thing. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4575253-und-not-yet-ruling-out-possibility-adam-scheel-could-return-season
  13. To a fault, recently. I'm doing my best to stay off a pulpit hahaha.
  14. Got it. I wasn't saying you were blaming him, just to clarify. I thought you were going with the idea that Bubbs was being blamed for everything and thus, joking about that. Ugh. Sorry I jumped too hard. Been a rough few days on here, by me lol.
  15. Right. I wasn't saying you were blaming him, but laughing that others could think it's Bubbs' fault.
  16. Hahahaha blame Bubbs, for sure.
  17. From one of Brad's stories for Friday Ice Time: Jones, whose goal drought is only at five games, might not have a chance to get back on track this weekend. The senior center practiced most of the week but didn’t go Thursday and is questionable for tonight.
  18. Yup. High aspirations, low expectations.
  19. I guess he could have stepped on the puck I am really curious, though. How could this or any injury be blamed on Bubbs? I don't understand this (not saying you're saying that, Ox). Are some suggesting that players are faking injuries?
  20. Not sure, but I bet it's Bubbs' fault
  21. Yes! He's UND's standard Pogo, Brad Malone, etc. type. Big body, great in traffic, awesome on the draw, fantastic defensively.
  22. What do you think, boys and girls? Split keeps us alive. Sweep would be massive. Hope springs eternal, or something like that. 4-3 UND Rhett x2 (So. Freakin'. Due.), Senden, Gooch
  23. Does everyone think Rhett doesn't care? Honest question. I've heard this before and I'm not really sure and I don't see it. IMO, you get a letter at UND if you don't care or don't work hard. I 100% thinks he takes careless penalties and that has a lot to do with not being able to control emotions. He seems to get frustrated easily. However, I think the kid works hard, for sure. Watch him in the corners and in front of the net. Maybe it's because he's bigger and doesn't seem like he has to "work hard" to win a physical battle?
  24. I agree with the out skilled, most nights. I don't agree with the outworked. I think this team, in particular, works very hard. They have to because they lack overall skill.
