I was under the impression that splits against DU, WMU and UMD, along with sweeps against UNO and CC and a first round NCHC win would get us to right around there. We didn't get quite there, but we were close. Super quick play with the Pairwise tool, no other results counted, a split with Duluth and two sweeps against CC and UNO has us at 13. Sweeping the next six games, we're 11.

He's gotten plenty heat and rightfully so. I guess it's fair to not have Bubbs a part of that 17 year run since he wasn't the head guy for most of it. Even by standards of all college sports, it's irrational to fire a coach after 4 seasons, two of which bring a tournament and one of which brings a national championships.

You made the comparison of Donovan to Jost. I'm saying Jost is and will be better. If I get this wrong, so be it. What you're saying is fine, though. I agree with you. I think he could have made this team better.

The loss of Scheel felt a lot bigger than the loss to WMU as he skated off the ice. I have confidence that Thome can get it done, but Scheel has just been awesome this year. So impressive. I don't think there's a question with effort level. Sadly, they didn't show up in the two most killer games this season.
