  1. 80-14 in shot attempts. Dominant defensively. Good stuff.
  2. Hahaha business dasher. I love it.
  3. Very clear difference in our entry. We got to our set up SOOO much better tonight than at any point of last season. Got too fine and handled the puck too much. Snap it around and fire. It'll come.
  4. New change this year. Visitors come through the student section. Nice small touch.
  5. Forgot to add who I think is going to score in my 5-1 pick. I'll go Pinto, JBD, Pooly, Mismash, Senden
  6. Be safe out there all of those who are traveling to REA. Leave early and get there! We need the barn filled! Feeling good about this series. I think the guys are going to be very focused, but the Eagles are going to be fired up, too. Hit them early and keep the Ralph loud. 5-1 UND
  7. I'm sure it's pretty glamorous for these kids to think about ditching the books to get paid to pay hockey. I feel like all of them realize, especially a fairly well thought of player like Kierstad, that they can skip Munski's 8 am lecture and make 90K a year playing a sport. With that said, I don't necessarily think UND's academics are that vigorous, in general, so I'd assume most leave because they think they are ready to make that pro jump and not because of academic stress. Kierstad could absolutely play in the AHL after this season. The NHL? We'll see. If he makes another jump like he did last year, he'll absolutely have a lot of pro offers.
  8. I buy that. However, I don't think sweeping next week 4-2, 7-1 or 3-2, 2-1 makes any difference moving after that weekend. We play Mankato next weekend. They won't give a bleep how badly we beat Canisius.
  9. We all know what happened last year. I'm of the ilk that this team does not need to bury this team, but just get the wins.... But, it would sure be nice to bury them. Huge for the PWR right out of the gate. Good start with the exhibition. Keep moving forward.
  10. This makes me so happy. Mismash
  11. Hopefully by the end of this season, we'll see last season as a stepping stone.
  12. I feel like we are watching different teams. I don't see how anyone thinks last year's team didn't grind/work hard/were hungry. You don't have that much TOP with guys who don't grind out shifts and work hard. Smith, Senden, Keane, Bowen, Rhett, Jones are all prime examples. It's fine having a difference of opinion and I'm not attacking you, whatsoever, I just don't see this. I consistently saw net front presence, slot chances, but not any solid finishing. At least consistently.
  13. Thank you. I'd argue we were mentally fine in nearly every game other than WMU early in the year. Our play showed this. Goal scoring was the problem.
  14. Is there a question that this team played hard last year? I certainly don't think there was. We consistently controlled puck possession and territory all year, but just could not pot goals to save our lives.
  15. Fantastic work by the person who created that GIF for putting the words on his hands as they moved. Absolutely fantastic.
  16. Yeah, this won't affect the 19-20 hockey team. Change threads.
  17. Definitely. I was very optimistic after the dominance and was sure the goals would come. Welp... Lol
  18. Save percentage would be nice to have a bit higher for Scheel and crew haha.
  19. Slow day at work. Let's get one started. Last year, UND outshot Manitoba 55-9, but the Hawks needed an OT goal to win 3-2, starting a year-long trend of dominating, but not scoring. What do you all want to see out of this team against the Bisons?
  20. No, no. I understand what you're saying, for sure. We have to sweep. Make no bones about it. I'm only saying that I couldn't care less what we look like in said wins especially in games 1 and 2 of the season. I know this team will be good come tournament time and October doesn't reflect on that very often. My point is, they need to just get it done.
  21. A win, is a win, is a win in the PWR. We didn't get them last year against them. Just get it done.
  22. Starts from the back end, for me. Scheel behind that defense is helluva start. Couple of impact freshmen and progress from the rest of the team. The addition of Michaud is going to be very important.
  23. Whoops. Yeah, I had him as fourth LW, but put Caulfield in there instead.
