HAHAHA THIS ^^^^ FTW!

I agree with this 100%. I understand the Hawks crowd (this seems like I'm anti-Hawk, which I'm not) has adopted the "get over it", mantra. That way of thinking doesn't seem logical, to me. I've said from the beginning that I believe the logo will take time to fully become accepted. I see this scoreboard change as another step.
-
I don't think it's pandering whatsoever. They (REA) just don't want to do it. Simple as that.
-
It's literally going to be shown at ALL TIMES during the game, by the score, which is the most important part. C'mon.
-
Keeping something would be on the side of holding true to the history while adding the new logo and name, like they did throughout the scoreboard, is what would help the tradition. Getting rid of it would have ticked a lot of. Just one man's opinion. I think this scoreboard shows a lot of Hawk logo.
-
Feels like a good mix, to me. Hawks logo right there on the scoreboard next to the score. Prominently displayed at all times. Fighting Hawks name itself right there, too. The Sioux name and logo are indeed an important part of our history, is it not? Feels like a nod to both and important to continue the transition away.

I love it. Makes me happy to see some optimism around here.
-
Of course, but the ones that are drafted are the ones specific NHL teams care most about. I guess I may be missing your concern.
-
All things considered, bringing in a 2nd rounder (damn near a first) and two 5th rounders for this season is a nice influx of talent up front.
-
Rizzo to the Canes at 216 Frisch, Rowe, Bast, Scheel, Budy go undrafted.
-
192 to Boston.
-
On the plus, sounds like Blaisdell and Pinto are indeed those kinds of players.
-
Judd Caufield 145 to the Pens
-
Blaisdell to the Jets at 134.
-
Moore to the Wings at 128.
-
Donovan goes 110 to VGK. Let the hand wringing begin.
-
Which players? You talking guys that are drafted or our roleplayers?
-
Ah, I get ya. I guess I've never really heard anything about NHL management questioning us. I don't really know the entire story about Miller, but we've had like 15 NHL players since then, so I don't feel like it's a big problem.
-
Definitely was. Doesn't feel like the case right now with the players OTT has picked from our team.
-
Ottawa, yes. I think seeing three players picked in the top 2 rounds in two years is an indication of trust, not a concern of a potential lack of development. Snow had Okposo and pulled him. One player. Not three in the top 2 rounds in two years. Seeing how Wolanin developed in his three years, the progression of JBD last year and the massive steps of Tychonick in the second half of last year, I'm not sure what would make you think OTT doesn't like the development of it's players at UND.
-
They've drafted four of our players in the past 4 years with three in the top 2 rounds. Seems like they trust our program.

As a Rangers fan, this was devastating. Ugh, makes me sad to this day.

Good stuff about Pinto from Brad today: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/2320615-NHL-DRAFT-Shane-Pinto-may-be-the-guy-to-watch-in-UNDs-rookie-class Love the quote below. Sounds like he gets it: Pinto's versatility means that he's not penciled into any spot in the lineup this season. He's completely OK with that. "Honestly, I'll do whatever it takes," he said. "Whatever they want me to play, I'll do it. I'm not going to worry whether it's top six or bottom six. I'm going to have an open mind. I'm going to try my best, I'm going to work hard and go from there."
