  1. Conference time, baby. Good guys in green start it off on the right foot. 4-2 UND Mash, JBD, Senden, Adams 2-for-5 on the PP
  2. He tried to play through it. Went through a million tests. Kept trying to play. Seems like a hockey player that most would laud around here. Instead, he was having his attitude and toughness questioned.
  3. For all of you that were questioning JJ. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4754933-Joel-Janatuinen-opens-up-on-health-issues-last-season-It-was-so-crushing
  4. It's kind of what they've always done, historically. Very, very competitive for 2 or 3 years and then fall off, build back up. Symptom of getting guys who often not the "top-tier" and are four-year players and developing them well.
  5. College Hockey News and USCHO both have apps.
  6. UND into #10 in both polls. DU No. 1 in both. https://www.uscho.com/2019/11/04/denver-still-perfect-still-no-1-in-this-weeks-uscho-com-division-i-mens-poll/
  7. I love the call. Hope you're right! I'm very encouraged by the style of the PP this year. Seems like the guys just need to get used to it and get confident. Fire passes and rip the puck. Too many pauses.
  8. This is the last of the opening stretch of games that may be turn out to be huge. These are two very winnable games before the schedule turns up a notch. 5-1-1 in the first 7 is excellent and necessary. I wanted to see UND go at least 7-2 in the first 9 based on the schedule and can be 7-1-1 a sweep.
  9. Not necessarily bad. I just don't see an overall lack of anything, however. The improvement of our upperclassmen and the influx of talent is glaring, to me.
  10. Ok, so, you're not talking about how this team is better than last, you're upset with recruiting. Got it. I'm on this year, man and I'm very happy with the progress, thus far.
  11. Completely agree. The talent is better this year than the past two. Execution is the problem, IMO.
  12. This. I love the system, they are just simply overthinking it. It's all about quick twitch, making the defenders move and get the goalie out of position. Too often we hold the puck or pause on the one timer. Adams and Mash, among others, just have to find the confidence to make that one pass that breaks the structure and boom. I counted 8 solid scoring chances in the 5 PPs. Two were saved, four missed the net and the other two were broken up. Gotta bear down. This system is working and has given the team chances. Just gotta bury.
  13. Wouldn't really call it a rush for the GWG. Fantastic stick play by Adams on the forecheck and then hit Guch on a great feed. Awesome to see Guch snipe that. Kid is a killer.
  14. No way Adams isn't a Top 6 right now, IMO. Same with Guchi.
  15. What's curious about it? He's not a full scholly guy.
  16. Hahaha just went back there. That was FANTASTIC. None of us had any clue. Sometimes our coaches just know what they're doing, eh?
  17. Cakebread haha.
  18. I'll go 5-2 good guys. Pinto, Mash, Guchi, Yon, JBD
  19. Not always looking for the best player, but looking for the right ones
  20. Not last game! They were all over the place, especially Mash. I feel like that should and can be the new norm. Adams feels like he's turning into the pace/playmaking guy on that line.
  21. Definitely no problem with him playing over Judd. However, I put Judd in there because of his size. Seems like he's building into a nice power forward already.
  22. For sure on Blaisdell. He's shown to glimpses of being really, really good. Need the consistency. Sounds like Yon is for sure getting his shot and he definitely should. Excited for him. He's got plenty of skill.
  23. Interested in line combos for Saturday. I think we should go this way: 29 Guchi - 18 Adams - 16 Mismash 11 Michaud - 22 Pinto - 8 Blaisdell 10 Hain - 19 Senden - 26 Smith 7 Yon - 14 Weatherby - 9 Bowen 28 Caulfield 6 Pooly - 24 JBD 3 Kierstad - 15 Frisch 17 Tychonick - 4 Peski 31 Scheel 1 Thome 35 Feeney
  24. Interesting start for the Huskies this year at 3-3. Swept RMU away from home, got swept by Alaska at home and split with a ranked BGSU on the road. All-in-all, this is a game we should and need to win.
