  1. BSU plays us tough every year, but, like I said earlier this week, I'm feeling good about this weekend. 4-1 UND Pinto, Guchi, Senden, Weatherby
  2. I've got a good feeling about this weekend. Play with pace, like we have through two weekends, I think we'll be fine.
  3. Yeah, I read it as you're saying that we need to win these next handful of games, not that we should. Well said, IMO.
  4. They totally do. Beavs always bring it against us.
  5. Absolutely agree. From what I saw against Canisius, and heard about the series against Mankato, this should be a sweep for our boys.
  6. Didn't get a chance to watch UND vs. Mankato, but it sounds like we should have won on Friday and could have won on Saturday. Another two important non-conference games. I don't think BSU will be horrendous and a potential "PWR killer", but, UND should absolutely sweep the Beavers at home. How'd Judd play in contrast to Johnson? How about Tychonick/Frisch?
  7. Lines for tonight same as last Friday other than Thome backing up Scheel: 10 Hain - 11 Michaud - 16 Mismash 18 Adams - 22 Pinto - 20 Kawaguchi 8 Blaisdell - 19 Senden - 26 Smith 21 Keane - 14 Weatherby - 9 Bowen 5 Johnson 6 Poolman - 24 JBD 3 Kierstad - 2 Bast 17 Tychonick - 4 Peski 31 Scheel 1 Thome Scratches: Yon, Albrecht, Frisch, Caulfield, Feeney
  8. Totally agree. OUT OF THE BOX.
  9. I don't really understand. So, if he played in the NHL, even if it's just for one game... what would he identify himself as? I know identity is a tricky thing in 2019
  10. Lol yes. Let's just wrap this up. I get where you're coming from. Let's just move on.
  11. Again, and? He played in the NHL. Go back to the thread. If you want to argue Schmaltz isn't a great NHL is one thing, but he's still an NHL player. Tychonick absolutely has enough skill to play in the NHL.
  12. And? He played in the NHL, man. He indicated that he wasn't sure he sees an NHL player in Tychonick and then he noted an NHL player.
  13. Had no idea. Very cool to see him.
  14. Looking at TTD this week and at roughly 3 minutes in, I see a very familiar face in coaching garb -- Bryn Chyzyk! Anyone know if he's on the staff this year?
  15. First test of the year after ramping up nicely against Canisius. I'm thinking split and I think we get ours tonight. 4-2 UND Pinto, Guchi, Michaud, Smith
  16. And Jordan Schmaltz played in the NHL...
  17. He's a roleplayer and our last man in. What I'm saying is that I like that he's responsible and think he's experience is valuable.
  18. Good to be talking about who are extra skater is and not how our Top 6 is shaping up
  19. I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't see why Casey continually gets ripped on, frankly. He played better than Caufield, in my opinion. Again, I'll take a senior over the freshie. Not a knock against Caufield, but flat out looks to slower, right now. Tychonick, idk, I think this was Bubbs just getting him some time early on. I'll be very surprised to not see Tychonick on the ice for both games in Mankato.
  20. I think I may prefer Yon and his foot speed over the other two, but we also do lack a little bit of physicality/size that Johnson and/or Caufield can bring. I don't think we need an extra defenseman, honestly. I'd prefer our forwards stay fresh, but I really don't get the hate on Casey. He's the extra skater. He's not playing crucial minutes.
  21. I thought Casey was fine, if not good, on Friday. Saturday, not so much. Caufield didn't blow me away on Saturday, but he was fine. So, at this point, I'll take the senior until the underclassman proves he's better than the senior.
  22. Lather, rinse, repeat. I know I get in the middle of it, but I'm trying not to anymore lol.
  23. Was going through the non-conference schedule yesterday and I totally agree. The way I see it... 2-0 now... split Mankato, split BSU (would love to sweep, but they play us tough), beat Tech, split Minny, sweep Huntsville ... 8-3 in non-conference should do us just fine. High side, add in a sweep either against BSU or Minny (or both), we'll be in really good shape if we're around .500 in conference. Big, big weekend.
  24. Really? Diminutive, speedy, hard-nosed, two way players. Motors that never stop. Rocco has more overall skill, though.
