  1. Ha.. I always thought it was the Grocery Outlet Brue Crue founded by Shaun Paperstacks...
  2. ^^^^this^^^^ Also keep in mind the NCCA is also concerned about attendance and TV ratings…full stadiums look better on TV…while the Scheels arena is small in our neck of the woods …other areas of the country would have a hard time filling it especially considering not knowing the outcomes of what teams will be in attendance. However the “ain’t to smart” line resonates well in the fact that looking back on past attendance records in the area and the fact that you possibly could see…UMD, St. Cloud, Bemidji, Mankato, UM and Omaha all within reasonable driving distance it should have been a no brainer that this venue would sell out. I still feel that UND is on the NCAA’s blacklist and will be for sometime
  3. My understanding is there was SRO tickets at club level and ice level…I believe the club level ones were gone with the champion club allotment and the ones purchased today were for ice level..under the current set up I do not believe there are risers set up for force games, however I have not been there this year yet…I know they have had risers in the past...really there isn't a bad seat in the house. Anyone know how the suites work? Do current suite holders get tickets for this event too?
  4. got two SRO south end...did anybody actually get seats???
  5. “real” Mexican food uses very little cheese and more chicken and pork lots of natural flavors and kicked with peppers…Tex-Mex is more beef and cheeses with gravy/sauces … either way both Mexican Village and Paradiso do an extremely poor job of replicating either… overcooked meat wrapped in a flour tortilla and smothered with gravy is not appetizing or appealing…I guess I prefer my food with flavor and like to taste most individual components… It’s kind of like when I hear people say Red Lobster is a “great” seafood place too..I know most were raised on this type of food from this area but there are plenty of other more delicious options out there
  6. seriously anyone that thinks Paradiso or Mexican Villiage is good mexican food must think McDonalds is real hamburger too…Acapulco, Mangos, even Juano’s are better choices
  7. As we’ve seen in years past there have been a few up start teams to take down high seeds in the tournament….ideally I’d like to see some other team knock off the Gophers however to be the best you have to beat the best and I think UND’s best chances are in their backyard….plus I’m a little selfish as I would love to see a Sioux /Gopher game in Fargo….especially since I already have tickets, however if that isn’t going to happen then yes I think we go for the #1 seed
  8. lots of SRO tickets...we got two choose club level for better sight lines ...just wondering how many SRO will be given out???
  9. Agreed it would be nice to not be seeded 1 and hopefully the Gophers are seeded higher and end up in Fargo...I like our chances against them in our back yard as opposed to Boston...since we will probably see BC out there playing in their back yard...god forbid BC ever has to play west of the Mississippi
  10. Something feels different about this year already. I am not going to jinx anything but just say’in , this year has an inward buzz about it already like we are teetering on the brink of something special….either that or it’s my acid reflux
  11. What are the big road games this year? Looking at making the UNO series at the end of January (barring any blizzards ) Only other Omaha game we were at was the outdoor one, any seating recommendations for the Century Link Center? I’d really like to make the Wisconsin series but already have prior commitments
  12. sounds like a lot of barley pop will be needed to soke up all that Red Pepper
  13. Heard there is going to be some kind of pre-game party/tail gating type thing starting at 3pm…does anyone have any more details on this
  14. would love to see Pattyn pull a Hextall and get a few Goofers thrown in the box...
  15. not really surprising , pretty much sums up "gopher nation", they, I am sure are proud of this poster boy.. I don't know about the rest of you but I sensed a lot of fear in that typing and that is worse then drunk typing, (queue gfhockey)
  16. My love began in 2001, the year the new Ralph opened. The company I worked for got season tickets so I decided I would check it out. Never really understood hockey prior to that and I was a UND grad by marriage so I felt I should show some allegiance to the school. I could not have been more pleased with my decision. With each game I attended I grew more and more into the sport, tradition and lore of SIOUX Hockey…I had found my home, my calling, my drive … I found that I am a SIOUX fan and that is something that can never be taken away. I have no other real allegiance to any other sport team, I follow some, and pay attention to others but not like UND Hockey. We don’t quite make to every home game, but close. Was at the MI loss in the final four in St. Paul…was at Regionals a few years back at the X, made the trip to Omaha last year for the outdoor game, this year I’m still working on making it to Philly lots of things have come up lately but there is still a chance I will go, should know after this weekend. My only regret is never being to a game in the old Ralph…and waiting too long in life to become a fan of such a great team and sport
  17. My dislike scale: #1. MN - no explanation needed #2. BC/DU tie - BC for their utter dominance over us in recent memory and DU just because they seem to play us dirty and I just don’t like them #4. Mich - just because …all others
  18. There were some very good points brought up earlier in the thread concerning the retention of coach Hakstol. The measured success agruement intrigues me. I feel that until the season outcome affects UND’s ability to recruit we let this play out. I am not sold on the Big 6 conference retaining recruiting power. We’ve already seen many MN and MI boys shift to smaller programs. I feel the NCHC will be the premier conference in college hockey with in the next three to five years. UND keeps it’s storied tradition and the ability to compete with the best of the best year in and year out. The talent level is what drives the teams outcome more so than the coaching. However Hakstol has proven to maximise the output of the talent level he is dealt on a consistant basis. Sure a few natty’s along the way would be great and yes help in the recruitment process, but are we really losing any recruits because we have not won? …UND seems to give these kids the opportunity to compete at the national level every year, so until that goes away I feel we should stay the course.
  19. I need to look into that meteorological profession.. . that way I can be wrong 75% of the time and still get a pay check …
  20. And Lowell back in it...2-2 great hockey game
