  1. I have a gum wrap, 3 pieces of lint and 8 cents in my pocket....any takers before the laundry machine gets it
  2. basically this stretch of the season is to equivalent of Hockey playoffs...I love this time of year !!!!
  3. It's time to revamp and reboot our global modular matrix approaches.
  4. Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
  5. Colorless green ideas sleep furiously
  6. huh?!? I've only seen them in 30's
  7. Probably….but talent for talent this team should not have been that embarrassed especially in the home opener, honestly I think they looked past them a little bit, so hopefully that doesn’t happen the rest of the season. It was a great lesson to learn early on, just as long as they don’t forget it. With no clear cut power house in the Hockey world this year (up to this point) this UND team has a great chance at going deep into the NC$$ tournament just need to stay focused, after watching the third period on Friday night I would say they still have some work to do in that department, granted UNO probably skated harder than any team we have played so far but we looked gassed and that shouldn’t happen to a top tier program with some of the best training facilities in the country.
  8. It should not be for this weekend, Lake Superior St is not a good hockey team this year....and the boys better not look past them after Bemidji debacle
  9. Seems to me it’s time for another change..even more reason for those seniors to put a stamp on this series . . . GO SIOUX !!!
  10. It would be nice to always have them in our shadow..but yes realistically it will never happen, I really like the idea of Illinois or Iowa St. as much as I dislike the Big 10 the conference needs some help and what’s good for College hockey is good for UND as we will always be in the forefront of the sport…I noticed Minot State on the list too…I know they do have a respectable club team however I feel monies would be a huge factor in moving up....maybe they could get Haliburton to sponsor the team
  11. found this in the comments section of Ryan Kennedy's article: Here are the schools that have won ACHA D1 championships, Start there, then look at willingness to move to a Varsity program, $$ in the endowment, local interest in hockey, a local venue with at least 2500 (preferable 5000+) seats, and recruiting power. Penn State (5 times) (Already in D1) Ohio (4 times) Illinois (2 times) Lindenwood (2 times) North Dakota State (2 times) Arizona State (Next D1 program) Davenport Delaware Iowa State Minot State Oakland Rhode Island To me, Hockey East, and the ECAC are saturated, with 12 schools each. Atlantic Hockey has an odd number so, Rhode Island is a decent choice, I know they have had discussion regarding D-1 hockey at an admin level in the past. Big 10 with 6, NCHC with 8, and WCHA with 10 have even #s, so the logical thing to do with either of those conferences is have plans for two teams to round out the conference (similar to what Hockey East did with Notre Dame and Connecticut in 2013, 2014), though the big 10 has said that they only want schools that play a straight Big 10 across all sports. That said, Illinois would be the logical first choice, followed by maybe Iowa. ND State and Lindenwood to NCHC would work, Ohio and Minot St. would be decent choices for the WCHA, but I'm not sure of any's willingness or capability to go to D-1, however.
  12. Ok I think the game would be on FSN channel 153, there are several other Fox Sports channels 140,141,142,146 and 148 Big Ten Network 144 and sometimes there’s games on CBS sports 139 and NBC sports 138 .... I am never quite sure so I usually just check all the channels
  13. this makes me happy in the face ....
  14. According to Dave's preview article: North Dakota’s scoring depth will be tested this weekend. Already without the services of senior forward Mark MacMillan (5-2-7 in five games this season), UND freshman phenom Nick Schmaltz (1-7-8 in nine games) sustained an upper body injury against Wisconsin and is not expected to play. Also, sophomore defenseman Paul LaDue (3-5-8 in eight games) will be out of the lineup this weekend.
  15. While I am generally not a fan of chain restaurants, Texas Road House has fairly decent ribs…there rib eye rib combo for $20 is tough to beat if you’re craving meat…
  16. I feel it’s a test to both programs at this point, UND should sweep, and I predict a Friday night win 4-2 ; now on to Saturday UND’s Achilles heel at home , if Miami has a good of coaching staff as they claim to be there will be enough adjustments made to pull off a tie and or maybe late scoring goal for the split. As with most Saturday games UND will probably lead towards the middle of third when they take a few shifts off…Miami gets the equalizer on a power play then gets a puck bounce with less than two minutes to play to seal the deal, do I want this to happen heck no, just keeping it real
  17. Ha…no obviously at this point Teddy’s words of wisdom have not been adhered to over the years. I am merely pointing out that this philosophy explains a lot of why our country is in the current state it is.
  18. We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn't doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people. T.R. 1907
  19. Wife’s work was selling a pair of Suite tickets for United Way fundraiser….went for over $400
  20. Got the hotel connected to the arena reserved, and tickets purchased for Omaha…pretty much your pick of any lower bowl for $25 through the Mavs website…I vaguely remember that UNO fans are extremely fair weather.
