  1. I see OSU plays BB like they do Hockey
  2. MN 14 wins, WI 13 wins SCSU 15 wins , UND 15 wins bottom feeders Penn ST 3 wins Michigan ST 5 wins Miami 6 wins CC 6 wins it's not even really apples to apples with the Big 6 to NCHC more like Apples to rotten peaches
  3. I see that now, either way this started with the strength of the BIG 6, and MN playing the likes of Penn State and Ohio State and even Michigan State on occasion, IMO the NCHC is hands down a tougher conference then the Big 6, is MN the best team in the country, apparently on paper, which looking at their schedule just seems to be inflated with too much credit being given to many of their opponents. We'll see how this tournament thing plays out
  4. and your point??? they split with ND and Duluth, they only played SCSU 1 once and Miami just rolled them, I have already stated that in a prvious post that their BC sweep in the only legit contest in their squishy schedule. so your claiming that because they swept Mankato they should be ranked 1 in the country??? if that's what you believe I will give you that, good job you swept Mankato, just say that out loud to yourself a few times and get back to me on that one
  5. this year..due mainly to an early season sweep of BC at home, other than that pretty soft schedule …. so meh ?!?
  6. Give it 3-5 years the NCHC will be the premier conference in College Hockey, all programs have a solid foundation and will only get better. I really can’t see that happening with Ohio State, Penn State and even Michigan State. Even Hockey East has its perennial bottom feeders, I can’t see that going forward in the NCHC
  7. Miami is a better team than the one we played a month ago, they are fighting for their season and don’t forget hosting a regional. Yes we are fighting as well, and we have had some great periods of hockey, but haven’t thrown together a complete 60 min game yet, I think Miami did that last week against SCSU, now can they do it again? Our overtime against CC we came out on fire, our first period on Sunday we played Sioux hockey, the rest we just skated around, lots of miscues and defensive breakdowns. I am fairly certain everyone in the arena knew CC was going to score in OT once they got the puck. Our lack of pure goal scoring has hampered us however the depth and consistency of all four of our lines can overcome that handicap, if they play every shift like it’s their last. I do feel that right now Miami will be the tougher of the opponents the Sioux will face in the Target Center, would love to see UND/DU but that WMU team is clicking along pretty good right now just don’t know if they have the depth to keep it rolling.
  8. I can recall watching Sioux hockey Sunday afternoon a few years back(ok maybe more than a few), I swear it was either CC or Michigan Tech, and pretty sure it was a playoff, now maybe there was some sort of conflicting event but I am certain I have been to a 3pm start time game
  9. I forgot about the AHA, I believe your scenario is more correct
  10. Assuming UND gets in to the tournament, what are the odds of a first round match up against the Gophers in St Paul ?
  11. How is the Target Center for Hockey? I would image it's pretty good viewing and sight lines all around?
  12. The Sioux have been playing very well as of late, that second period on Friday in SC was crazy. However they need to keep the momentum going this team seems to play well game to game, but poor play follows the same suit…even though Sat in SC was a loss they still played better than a lot of games this year. Same thing will hold true for this series WM is not a team to overlook and is one of the more balanced resilient teams in the league this year. We need 120 minutes of solid play no taking shifts off, and of course a few home ice bounces wouldn’t hurt either As far as NCHC tourney goes, I only like seeing CC if SCSU sweeps them…otherwise Miami/CC doesn’t matter. I will agree Miami has been better on paper as of late, I hope that we are one of those opponents that is stuck in their head. Either way we need to keep winning, this team is deep and balanced..I hope HAK has them confident as well..GO SIOUX!!!
  13. ^^^ this^^^ I don't buy the sold out arena argument they may fly in other parts of the country but not here the Ralph would be way fuller then most all of the other venues regardless of who was playing
  14. as much as we need a sweep, the Dawgs have been about as inconsistent as we have, I think they have split every series so far, just need to take one game at a time..we'll be up there Sat. cheering them on
  15. you are thinking of Lacrosse
  16. Rau did get an assist according to the box score
