Michigan was incredible, 32% clip! SCSU (as has been mentioned 29%). The majority of the NCHC was in the 18-19% though. Funny to see the B1G have 3 teams all above 21%, clearly shows the weaker of the leagues, plenty of time, space, and poor penalty killing.

Maine alum and administration are kicking themselves now for not taking a serious look at Montgomery. It's harder and harder to hate DU with a classy guy like Montgomery at the helm. Gwoz on the other hand.....

It's been less than a week. If I or anyone else is still complaining about our pathetic logo in 6 months or a year, that would be a great time to state this. Fans/alumni/the COMMUNITY have the right to be upset about this logo and people should respect that process as well. If someone is complaining about our logo, that doesn't mean we don't support the school. On the contrary, it shows we are passionate about our school, state, and the how we show ourselves to the rest of the country. I hate this thought that as fans we are supposed to take everything blindly without any thought or push back. This decision for a logo was made by one man, one man alone.

At what point? When the decision for the logo was taken out of the alumni / students hands? The release of the new logo? Or since the majority wanted to keep North Dakota (without adopting a nickname) they forced a nickname?

I agree! Don't hate the logo just because you hate the name. Hate the logo, because just plain boring and is a corporate logo, not a school logo.

I agree that Hoff will be in the mix right off the bat, but don't be deceived by Bowen's junior numbers. He played defense at Penticton and was injured during the season as well. Bowen will be in the mix for a 4 line role, extra d-man right off the bat.

We'll be again one of the youngest in college hockey, but that doesn't seem to be out of the norm for our teams the last 10 or so years. Most of our classes dwindle down to 3-4 by the time they are seniors. Anyone recall the largest senior class that we have had in the last 10 years? It can't be more than 6.

Absolutely, here was my top 5 of the 5. I felt then and still do, the most important part of this process to move on was the logo. It is essential, especially for the Sioux Forever crowd, that a logo be selected that instills pride in the university and North Dakota. We could have been the Sundogs (although I really dislike that name) and had an awesome looking Husky that we could be proud of. That where the passion for the Sioux comes from. A great logo and a name that North Dakotans are proud of. In order to move past it, the school needed to pick a logo that mattered. Nodaks Roughriders Fighting Hawks North Stars Sundogs

Winning doesn't cure boring. When my priority shipped box gets to my house on time, it doesn't mean I like the logo anymore!

I would say that's a bunch of signatures considering NO advertising or mass mailing has been done with it. As has been mentioned by Mr Ed himself, that's a small percentage of the alumni population (over 100k). Yeah, so what! If you emailed out that petition to all alumni and students that number would quadruple immediately. Around 26k voted on the new nickname and it was a split vote. I didn't vote for the Fighting Hawks, but I didn't complain as we as a body chose it. This logo has been mishandled completely.

The 2016-17 team is going to have a completely different look. To think we had 11 freshmen last year, to this coming year potentially 9. These coming year and last SHOULD have been rebuilding years. Where most teams have a down year, we win a national title. It's seriously amazing to see the consistency in our program.

Completely agree. Our backbone was clearly our defense, as has been mention, might have been the best defense we have ever seen at UND.

I guess it really just depends on the administration (of which, I have little faith in)... You're right though, many programs update and clean up logos over the years.

I assume all have seen this, but worth posting. Not that petitions really do anything, but who knows. Maybe this will spur the school into getting a real primary logo we can be proud of.
