Exactly, there's a reason Hakstol could never figure out lines when Rocco was on the team. He never had anyone that could play at his level here. I know it's moot, but imagine Rocco with a Schmaltz/Jost and Boeser. Not sure if the other team would ever get the puck.

He's baaaaack

Gotta disagree, it's not his game. He takes the puck to the net and turns rebounds into goals with freakish consistency. He doesn't have a Boeser or even Jost-level wrist shot so drive the net and slide it five hole. If you can't, dish it to those other guys for a cycle or have them take that shot. Then clean up if the goalie happens to get a pad on it. I can't remember once this season where I thought 'Gersich really should have shot that puck earlier instead of driving to the net'. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Don't look now but he has 4G - 2A in his last 3 games and at least 1 point in 6 of his last 8 games. He's also tied for 2nd in goals and he's only behind the top 3 of Gersich, Boeser, and Jost in total points.

Bob Anderson would have at least 3 starts already this year.

Agreed, played 26 games in the NHL to start his career. Didn't produce at the necessary level in the show so gaining confidence in the A with 4G 1A in 7 games(he must actually be shooting now!). I'd guess he'll be up again this year.

100% true, he went from a teenager to a man on the ice. I'd put money on Jost staying for his sophomore year. He loves UND and as good of a hockey player he is, he seems to be even a better person so we're lucky to have him.

Just surprising to me that a city approx. the size of Grand Forks was so quiet, especially if the college only takes up a small % of that.

I've also been thinking this in the last couple days. It could work but I wonder if either country would protest that they only get half of the tournament?

- Jost models his game after Johnny Toews, Toews played 2 years of college hockey. - Jost made the comment during his 1st game at The Ralph that this is the best place ever to play hockey. He made similar glowing comments in NYC to reporters after the game. - Someone I know in his class said that he asked what classes he should take as he'll "probably only be here a couple years". - Chambers is a known troll who writes opinions(guesses) as if they are facts. Such as, Matthews joining DU. He bends the truth to fit his narrative without regard for any facts. None of this is concrete proof either way but I'd put his chances at coming back at 75%. But let's figure that out after celebrating our 9th title in April.
