Hope so too, Borgstrom's 1st goal on friday was the nicest goal you'll see all year. How he roofed the puck from that close after a silly toe drag across the crease seemed to defy physics.

Grand Forks residents voted 'NO' to this measure last year and got: 1. Language narrowed down to restrict the tax increase's usage 2. Decreased the jump from .75% to .50% 3. Decreased the length of the tax hike from 50 to 20 years As a result this passed with 76% of the vote. That's how this whole democracy thing is supposed to work I think.

IMO might be more pressure on Thome this week compared to last. New UND goalies are on record saying they 'hate' playing at REA, so much pressure and expectations from 12k diehard fans. Moral of the story: We need to score 1st to ease that pressure.

Too late for him to come back? Has a CH player ever left school only to return to that same school in recent history? I mean, it seems like he pulled the trigger a little quick there. He was the singular reason we won that SCSU game in OT last year & played in the NCAAs against BU(and had a glass-shattering hit). It makes me wonder if there were other reasons besides playing time. If it was a knee jerk reaction I feel like he will or already does regret the decision.

So much this... you ever notice how the schools that get attacked the most have the most successful programs. You don't hear anyone saying "Man that AIC has some dipshit fans, and don't even get me started on Alabama Huntsville!' If you hope to please everyone and want everyone to like our fanbase you're going to be pretty miserable. They take shots at 'being obnoxious' because they need to steer the conversation away from anything that has to do with the actual sport at hand, which is hockey. Kinda like when people say 'there's nothing to do in Grand Forks so that's why they have so many fans'. It's just them lashing out because their team isn't nearly as exciting to follow.

I think you missed the point of his post. He was talking about how Casey might have a lotta work left physically to make the NHL to have any sort of longevity. Of course you'd love to have someone with his skill on your team.
