  1. Video of Berry talking to the players after finding out ticket prices for the Gopher series:
  2. So is Bubs I never considered this angle. Would the logo just disappear on the ice?
  3. I agree, I'd love to see a video board similar to the Wild or Lightning(on a smaller scale obviously).
  4. Yeah I agree, it's due for an upgrade. However, it may take longer than usual when REA staff considers that part of what you're taking down can't go back up(See: gold lettering in the middle & logo under scoreboard).
  5. Anyone have an idea when single game tickets start going on sale for the Badgers series in Madison? Seeing as I'll not be deer hunting for the 5th straight year, I figured might as well make my maiden voyage to the Kohl Center. I wouldn't think there'd be trouble getting tickets but would like to get good seats.
  6. Now there's a name I can get behind! #SparklyUnicornsForever
  7. One of the most rational, level-headed posts I've read since the nickname debate started. We're all on the same side... or at least we should be.
  8. It crossed my mind
  9. I suppose the silver lining is that if someone wants a postseason trophy named after them and has $5,000 to spare, there's never been a better opportunity.
  10. Both...at the same time
  11. He's working at Fusion Automation in Grand Forks right now, he interned there while going to school. From talking to him it sounded like his plan was to get some experience in Grand Forks and eventually move back near his hometown. I suppose he could be a goalie coach as well as work like Karl did.
  12. Obviously I'd be better off taking anonymous Happy Gilmore avatar's opinion over a pro scout's who is also a color man for a nationally broadcasted sports network, but I work with what I have at the time.
  13. His upside is huge, could be one of the best offensive dmen in the country. That said, there was times he was gripping the stick pretty tightly last year & letting the puck get out of the zone at the point. Starman noticed it too in a series at The Ralph. However his game against BU really showed what he is capable of and it'll be exciting to see the strides he makes this coming year.
  14. Jost hitting the twitter recruiting trail for his alma mater, love it.
  15. My best guess(w/ no knowledge if Bowen can play center): Forwards: Gersich - JJ - Pogo Mismash - Gardner - Goooooch Olson - Bowen - Adams Yon - Simo - Smith (lefty line) Defense: Pooly - Wooly Shaw - Peski Bast - Johnson Goalie Cam the Man Jim Bob Damn it, now I'm excited for hockey. Don't know why I do this to myself.
  16. Call me crazy but I don't think we win a national title without Caggiula. That seemed to be the x-factor missing from last year. A 4 year guy leading the team that scores huge goals in the most important moments of the season. The Michigan regional final goal to get us going, the 2 goals against Denver, 2 dagger goals against Quinnipiac. Like you said, it's the combination of a couple young blue chippers and 4 year guys that peak in their final year.
  17. Don't spoil it for the rest of us!
  18. Boom... well put The brownstones across from Joe Blacks sold at similar price points. Would I buy one? No... I want a house w/ my own yard. But clearly, not everyone feels that way thus investing their money into downtown real estate. If real estate were built on one person's preferences it would fail miserably. I still find every excuse from some of the Yes votes laughable. "Why not a different lot?" Because Dakota Commercial decided this was the best(See: most valuable) place to build and they're investing the money and chose this lot. "But they're just another set of overpriced condos". Just because you can't afford them doesn't make them overpriced. They're worth what people are willing to pay... which we'll discover shortly Honestly, you'd think us No voters were agreeing to cut down a rainforest. It's a tiny not-really-a-park that some people sat in a few times on their lunch break and a select few that are looking for a nice spot to fornicate after bar close.
  19. Let's just hope there aren't any unforeseen surprises that pop up...
  20. Here, we have the 2 people leading the charge on vote yes.... http://www.inforum.com/news/4097619-two-charged-fornication-sex-act-gf-park
  21. http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/business/article157009204.html Do some people out there actually believe there's a chance we might get the nickname back?
  22. Yeah that would make more sense... VOTE NO TO GROW!
  23. I feel like I didn't have much of an opinion on Arbor Park when a petitioner asked me to sign during a UND football tailgate. I didn't sign so I could gather more facts and both sides of the issue. However, I have not once since heard a good argument that makes me question that we shouldn't continue to invest in our downtown area. It seems like the vote yes to save Arbor Park has put a decent amount of resources into their campaign so what is their argument for it? Or is the ole 'stand up to the man & big business and don't let them ruin our environment' shtick?
  24. Grand Forks and/or North Dakota needing more 'green space' and comparing it to New York City/Central Park is pretty dang funny... the whole damn state is green space. We need development and growth with investments in projects such as this. I'd suggest the awesome Greenway which is a couple blocks away(and runs for about 6 continuous miles) as Arbor Park faithfuls' alternative choice. If that's not enough you could even cross the river to EGF for several more miles(however not as well maintained).
