Just bought my 4 SRO for Saturday night at Mariucci! It will be my first time at that rink, anyone have any opinion on the standing room only view of the ice? I'm in section 7 at exactly center ice.

I think the bolded pretty much is the answer to all of the arguments whether Minneapolis is "safe" or not. It's not like walking the lovely bar strip of Grand Forks but it's not South Central Los Angeles either.

I would definitely agree with this as I live DT Minneapolis. Have never ran into problems walking home from the bars even at 2 AM. Now if you accidentally wander on the other side of Broadway (not sure how you could unless you were really drunk)...that's a different story and you're asking for trouble.

Interesting, I wonder why that wouldn't be good news for UND. Maybe Everett heard he was leaning towards North Dakota and tried to trade his rights for something of value? I don't know how the WHL system works very well but this feels like a conspiracy of WHL v. NCAA.

Saw Zucker's last game as a collegiate player and will see his 1st as a pro tonight. That's the 1st time I can ever say that about any hockey player! I guess I'll get to see directly how skills translate to the pros.

That's the point you wanted to key in on? So do other arenas have a "bid" in for these events or do they prefer not to have regionals in their town because they hate all of the business it brings in?

Well then I think there is something seriously wrong with the Sioux being the 1 seed and playing across the river from the U's campus, but it's because the Gophers are given a host regional/Frozen Four so often. In the only standings that matter come NCAA time the Sioux finished well ahead of your Rodents because of your less than stellar non-conference play. It's not just the WCHA games that matter. I wouldn't say you were exactly "dominant" when you gave up 6 unanswered goals for a loss leading into NCAA tournament play which resulted in you winning 3 of the 5 meetings up until that time. You were ahead but "dominant" is taking it too far.

I would give you pretty much anything for that jersey. That is awesome!

Yeah I feel the same way. I just hadn't heard much at all about their top line until that point. Don't think they score a lot of goals or anything (not that that is the only important thing) but our top line brings it most every night

According to USCHO, WMU has arguably one of the top lines in the nation...I think that'd be a tough argument to win

As many fans as goals in the championship game. In all fairness there was a contingent of fans in the section next to me that had to be at least 8 people deep!
