The question wasn't whether Minnesota has a lot of talent, that's obvious to anyone. The question was if they are a "contender year in and year out". Lately, I said they haven't been... They've had their down years and underperformed with the talent you referenced.

Your definition of a contender year in and year out is very different from mine. Noticed you didn't mention 10-11... Wait, would they have gone on a run if they did NOT get beat by Anchorage? Last year UMN got throttled by in state competition and missed the NCAAs... Doesn't make them a contender. The down year you're comparing it to for UND saw them get to the frozen four. It may be a thin margin but that doesn't mean that everyone gets to be a contender.

Like last year? And 2010-11? I get that you like the Gophers but the contender year in and year out lately has been the team whose message board you're on.
