  1. Totally agree w/ business guy.... Cam is slow going wide..... .
  2. Jost and boeser are supposed to be the guys..... shoot the $@¥£€^^:/# damn puck ......
  3. Bottom line..... top line.... BS.... dinked around, didn't take control of the game......
  4. I can't believe no one has mentioned Mel Gibson . . .
  5. I took Monday off, hopefully that doesn't jinx the team. 4 in a row just seems like a lot for these guys. Although I feel a lot better after last weekend and watching the "Behind these doors". Hopefully we beat these clowns make it to the Target Center so I don't have to decide whether or not to go to that!!
  6. The thing is, while yes, we seem to be playing better and the goalies have been good, I really feel like we're going out of our way to make the goalies look like rock stars as well. After being in Colorado Springs and watching last weekend, to me it seems like we are really hesitating before taking shots. I know it's only a split second most of the time, but it's pretty noticeable. The goal Gersich had on Sat. night he skated in the zone and shot quickly, he didn't stop, go to his backhand, then forehand and then shoot. At least 4-5 times a game there are passes that should be one-timed (or at least one-time attempted) that are being held for that split second that's giving these goalies time to cover minor mistakes. We really just need to be a little bit more aggressive. Sometimes, Boeser skates in the zone and looks like he just can't decide what to do w/ the puck. The lazy backhand passes aren't cutting it. Make the decision you're going to the net and go. Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?
  7. I agree w/ Siouxstudent. I really just wanted an actual thing. . . I wouldn't have cared if it was a Fog Horn Leghorn looking thing. Something w/ some character that I didn't have to make up a background for just to put it on something. But what did we expect, I guess, from a company that came up w/ a Red L for the University of Louisville.
  8. The problem is . . . you can't punt against the Bison. You have to score first and keep scoring. Go for it on 4th down. If they're more than 1 or 2 scores behind, they can't be doing those crazy 20 minute drives and Stick has to throw the ball. As soon as SDSU punted on their first 4th down, they were hosed.
  9. Was Ga Southern the team who showed up w/ out the kicker? They could have won it at the end of reg, but had to go for the TD and lost? I can't remember if it went to OT.
  10. I'm really starting to not like that guy...his politician is showing through...
  11. They made a comment early about the Jacks going for it on 4th down 6 times when they beat them last time...they should have went for that first 4th down and kept going. you have to score early and keep the pedal down against these guys....get them playing from behind and forcing things. why can't anyone figure that out? this game just makes me madder about our offense last sat.
  12. Scared the hell out of me....for a second, I thought Gerbe had an evil, younger cousin or something.....
  13. Some coaches in the past have just pulled a goalie after the 4th goal, just as a team motivation thing, if he thinks they need a kick. I'm not seeing Berry as being that kind of coach. I just wish he'd have gotten the other guys some time earlier in the season.
  14. http://bismarcktribune.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/explosion-at-protest-site-bears-investigation/article_5f99fe4a-e1c3-5640-b170-792c77c791e4.html Gee, same girl maybe?
  15. I'm actually really upset. . . I've always wanted to see Bonnie Raitt and now I can't go . . . The concert's on Nov. 27th, though and there's supposed to be a "Siberian Cold Front" the week of Thanksgiving. . . I don't think there will be many protesters left to go to the concert!!
  16. It's amazing the Army Corp is finally drawing a line somewhere. . . it's a good thing they kicked them out last week. It's easier to defend a place (especially w/ a moat/creek!) than to kick people out of it.
  17. It's actually a double pipe (pipe within a pipe) with sensors in between and emergency shut off valves on both sides of the river. 100 feet below the riverbed, I think it's pretty safe to say this isn't going to be the Exxon Valdez, guys. Also people don't realize how many pipes are already under all our rivers. They always make it sound like this is the first time anyone's ever done anything so horrendous.
  18. I just really hope we win this one . . . my 3 year old is going to Pre-school today circling her finger in the air and spouting that the Bison better watch out cuz "the Hawks are circling". (Her teacher is a BIG Bison fan and is always wearing Bison stuff on Fridays, we, of course, wear Sioux stuff on Fridays). I just don't know WHERE she gets this stuff.
  19. Also, just a note. . . you really have to be aware of what's going on w/ the latest environmentalist "buzz word". Any research you do on the subject will inevitably lead you to population control. It's not just humans "polluters" that are bad, it's all humans in general and there needs to be a limit on how many are on the earth. But no one ever really reads up on this stuff. That's why you'll see more and more big companies and corporations changing their tiny print tag-lines from "a green company" to a "sustainable company", not because they have any idea what it means, they just want to be the right kind of "pc cool".
  20. That first guy was pretty painful to watch. Hopefully we can "Take it to 'em" tomorrow!
  21. Couple things. . . they're moving their water intake 70 miles south (because of low water, I believe) in the next month or two. They've killed at least 30 cows and last week, shot a horse and mutilated it to retrieve the bullet. They've dumped sugar in tractor tanks, and spray painted the pick up of a farmer just driving down his long drive way to his house. The farmers and ranchers down there are not happy. On a funnier note, in the Bismarck Tribune yesterday, the protesters asked the city of Cannonball if they could move their camp from the river bottoms to a spot north of town and the leaders told them that it would take at least 2 years to sort out all the paperwork to give them permission. I don't think the Indians that live down there want these freaks around any more. P.S. Only 9% of the protesters arrested before yesterday are from North Dakota.
  22. I was a little disappointed that the TV info wasn't on the schedule poster this year. . . a lot of guys at work have me grab them so they know when the games are on channels besides Midco (most of them have Dish). Still a cool poster.
  23. So, this may sound like a dumb question, but what's the deal w/ the $300 million they raised a couple years ago? Is it an Alumni Association thing? And isn't it sitting somewhere making a ton of interest? If so, isn't 1.4 million a pittance in the whole scheme of that and can't someone say, "Hey, we'll help you out?" for a couple years? Ok, that was more than one dumb question.
  24. I'm sorry...I still think it looks terrible....and I was really hoping for a great logo cuz I was just tired of the process and wanted to be done. It's a good thing we own enough Sioux jerseys to survive until the 2nd or 3rd generation Hawks stuff comes out from another company. My grandkids will probably still be wearing Sioux jerseys.
