I was thinking the same... those were some lean years.

I can't figure Mismash out. He clearly has loads of talent but he half-asses it most the time, looking like he can't wait to get off the ice and is scared to shoot the damn puck at the net for some reason...

I think the point is that Cloud isn't as good as everyone thinks (without Poehling) and Canisius isn't as bad as everyone thinks.

A few positives tonight despite the loss... overall effort was good and the boys found a way to finally put pucks in the back of the net. Tomorrow should be interesting... Mankato may be a top 5 team. Certainly an argument can be made that they are a top ten team right now.

I did play hockey, yes. Is that a prerequisite for spotting a checking from behind? The good news about Rhett getting the boot is that tonight he can only cost us one goal. He is a serious liability and has little to no hockey sense.

The “funding to other sports” comes directly in a large part from the amount of money the hockey team and it’s fans bring in to UND atheletics. “Funding to other sports” cost the women’s hockey team to be cut. I am sorry you are a football fan at a hockey school but that is not a reason to cry here. It’s funny you use the word mediocre, because that is exactly what the football and basketball teams has been at best for two decades.

imagine how many shots on goal UND would have if 2/3 of their shots weren't two feet wide...

I'm curious as to what most of you guys think about Kawaguchi? I know he has some shortcomings but I really like his grittiness... I hope he develops into a Caggiula type of 4 year player.

UND will always be the "Fighting Sioux" to me but to suggest that the nickname is anything other than a nickname is absurd. The program is the University of North Dakota... always has been and always will.
