I thought for the most part we played pretty well, but I can see where Hak would have been upset with the effort at times. A lot of chances we couldn't cash in on and part of that credit should go to Olkinuora for really stealing the game. The team probably deserved a better outcome and it would have been nice to get that game and gain some ground on St. Cloud, but the loss makes tonights game even bigger. Need to cut down on the penalties a little bit and pressure them a little more when we are on the PK, gave them a few too many odd man chances, but overall it was a pretty fun game to watch. The goaltending for us wasn't very good from either guy and hopefully it was just a fluky night in that area, I would probably come right back with Zane tonight and hope he can redeem himself.

I think Penn State will struggle quite a bit next season and really their first few seasons. Maybe they can eventually turn into a decent program but I don't see it anytime in the near future.

Always a couple matchups like that in section play with the #8 vs. #1 and #7 vs. #2 seeds usually.
-
Not sure if we are after him or not but I plan to watch him tonight as the games will be on KVLY.

I think what could end up happening if there are a couple years of bad attendance is the WCHA deciding that the regular season champion will host their final five.

All Time Sioux Greats Roster, who would you choose?
SiouxScore replied to tho0505's topic in Men's Hockey
Mine is more recent based since I am only 22 and didn't get a chance to see a lot of the greats from the 1980's and earlier. I went with a mix of very good players and some of the guys I enjoyed watching most and like everyone has said a lot more that could gone on a honorable mention list. I went with only 2 goalies because I didn't want to take any of my forwards off this roster. Zach Parise-Drew Stafford-Brandon Bochenski Ryan Duncan-Jonathan Toews- T.J. Oshie Chris VandeVelde- Corban Knight- Jason Gregoire Evan Trupp- Brad Malone- Matt Frattin Danny Kristo-Travis Zajac Taylor Chorney- Robbie Bina Chay Genoway- Matt Greene Matt Smaby-Mike Commodore Travis Roche Karl Goehring Jean-Philippe Lamoureux A few guys on my honorable mention list- Matt Jones, Brock Nelson, Ryan Bayda, David Hale, Jordan Parise, and many other guys that could be added to this list as well. -
Glad that I will be able to see 1 of the games with it being on NBCSports now, hopefully FSN+ will pick up the root coverage I know they have had it on in past years and I will be able to watch both games.

Looks like Miami and Notre Dame are being televised on FSN.

The couple games I have seen you can definitely see the teams have the target on him and go after him phyiscally and a lot of times illegally. A lot of stuff happens to him behind the play and after the whistle and it is something he has dealt with relatively well from what I have seen. Wayzata was real bad about that and the refs should have let Wayzata know it wouldn't be tolerated by giving them some penalties right away but they didn't and eventually they gave Gersich a phantom kicking call. I definitely get your point and really wouldn't blame him if he went to the USHL next season.

Tigers get a goal with 10 seconds left in OT to beat Denver 6-5.
-
CC and Denver headed to OT for 2nd night in a row and 4th consecutive OT game for CC.
-
CC has blown a 3 goal lead in the 3rd against Denver and the game is now tied 5-5.

NORTH DAKOTA @ UNO - Saturday 6:37, outside on the pond

Looks like Jayson tweeted out the Sioux game will be on 323 so I will probably take his word over Hammers. -

Hammer just said during the bball game that Sioux hockey will be on midco 1 and SDSU bball will be moved to midco 3. -
CC and Denver headed to OT tied at 1-1.

Good solid all around effort and win tonight and a needed 2 points. Zane was solid again and got help from Mac on the save of the game. Knigh line created some nice chacnes and the other lines contributed with some nice zone time and smart plays for the most part. Hopefully we can get 2 more tomorrow but it was important to get this one tonight especially with really not knowing how the conditions will be tomorrow and never know what might happen outdoors. The 5 minute penalty call to me was something where if it would have went against the Sioux I would have been going crazy but since it didn't I'll take it. It's about time we are on the fortunate end of a somewhat weak call. I do think the guy follows through on the hit a little high but the initial contact is at the chest although maybe a little helmet to helmet to and the only other thing I can think of is it was a couple strides after the puck had gone by Senkbeil.

A couple pictures from today that I saw on twitter. Schlossman@SchlossmanGF UND practices in -10 wind chill today. Their Powerade froze in 20 minutes. pic.twitter.com/QtvUg6sD Schlossman@SchlossmanGF Cold, snowy, windy practice today pic.twitter.com/xv5WRn3t Zane Gothberg@ZanoInsano_29 Off to the frozen tundra... #battleup pic.twitter.com/cwj4gLJF

Looks like someone already asked Schloss on Twitter and it doesn't look like it. Ryan Schaefer@Schaef87 @SchlossmanGF I have a source that says UND will unveil special jerseys for the outdoor game. Can you confirm? Cc: @goon48 Schlossman@SchlossmanGF @Schaef87 your source is a bad one

I believe so I would think the league will have to review that and he will miss their game Friday.

Good solid win, kind of a sloppy 3rd period but that was a little expected being up 4-0. Anyone else notice the Wisconsin player squirting the crowd with the water bottle when Mersch jumped off the bench to try to fight Pattyn. It looked like the postgame coaches handshake was a litlle more intense than usual, think Hak may have had a message to send Eaves off with. Couple very important games next weekend that will probably have a huge impact on playoff seeding, gotta build off this game and get a nice streak going.

That's one of the biggest things that annoys me too. Just seems so unprofessinal with this group of broadcasters, no matter who they are talking about, interviewing, etc. they always call them by a nickname.
-
A little suprised to see Mitch in as well and also thought we might see Senkbeil watching from the stands tonight. Overall Iooks like Hak is looking for a little more balance in scoring and I thought we might see Grimladi and Caggiula flip flopped but I still think Caggiula will create a few more chances tonight playing with Rowney and Parks.

Who does Fredrick play for? Numbers look good we will need someone for next season.
