  1. I don't remember the name but I believe it is someone who works in the advertising or sales department there.
  2. Avery Peterson is a pretty good senior from there that is headed to Omaha.
  3. Everyone will be on Cooke for it but he has been a much different player. Watching that kneeing call I put that more on Barrie than Cooke the only reason it happens is Barrie trying to avoid a hit and almost diving out of the way. Avs getting all the calls in this one too refs must be intimidated by Roy.
  4. 2 tough losses for the Hawks but I would still bet on this series going 7 games. The probable Seabrook loss will hurt for a game or two but I still think the Hawks can go back to Chicago and get a couple wins.
  5. Not a smart play by Seabrook on that hit even if Backes would have probably done the same thing. Would guess he will probably be suspended and that definitely hurts the Hawks. Hawks have given up way too many late goals to the Blues already in this series just hope they can score one in OT and even the series up.
  6. Would seem weird if he had the summer to mull it over. Whether he is leaving or staying I would think the staff would want to know before this summer so they can decide if they are gonna bring in another commit or go add another recruit or even just move forward with the way it is. I think late May would be the latest a decision could be made.
  7. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 3m 98 D Matt Kiersted (Elk River) commits to North Dakota. 5'11 skater is a natural offensive force on the blue, had 21 points in 24 HS games. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 39s Our #24 uncommitted prospect this winter, Kiersted improved noticeably in every zone and earned an NTDP camp invite. Another top MN 98 goes.
  8. Pretty tough angle to score from too. Good to see Oshie back in the lineup for the Blues. Would be surprised if this Hawks/Blues series doesn't go 7 just hope the Hawks can pull the series out.
  9. Bartlett must have just retired recently? I know he was on the opening day roster and had played in a game or two but then went on the DL.
  10. Which is why it would be a smart decision for Rocco to play at least another season at UND.
  11. Bjugstad played basically the whole season in the NHL so him and Rocco wouldn't even be in the same league for at least a season and probably longer so they wouldn't do much together.
  12. Really blew that one last night. The horrible Brodziak turnover that led to goal #3 for the Avs and then Spurgeon with the horrible soft clear attempt that doesn't get out and you knew then the AVs would end up scoring there.
  13. Doesn't get much better than this first game and we already get an overtime.
  14. Red Wings in 7 Penguins in 5 Canadiens in 6 Rangers in 7 Ducks in 5 Wild in 6 Kings in 7 Blackhawks in 6
  15. I expected him to live up to the type of recruit he was and be an exceptional type player which he hasn't but I do agree he has been a solid player. Gerbe and Atkinson were much better college players than Grimaldi has been so far and you named a few smaller guys who have made it but there are also a number who haven't. I just think he needs another year in college and hope that is what he decides.
  16. Rocco played on that line for quite a bit last year and I still wouldn't have said he was NHL ready then.
  17. He was the best offensive forward on our team at times but that isn't saying much this year. I think he needs to develop more consistency to his game before he will have a chance to play in the NHL. Look at a guy like Kristo who seemed to be much more ready to make the jump and he spent the whole year in the AHL it is real hard to believe Grimaldi wouldn't spend more time than that in the AHL with where he is at right now.
  18. A little bit surprised to see him coming back for DU but I guess it is good for college hockey as a whole.
  19. I very much disagree with this at his size to be NHL ready you pretty much have to dominate college hockey and he hasn't come close to that. If he wants the money and to go play in the AHL the next few years than he can do that but if he thinks he is gonna be playing in the NHL within the next year he needs to reevaluate. I had pretty high expectations for him coming in and so far he hasn't come close to the type of player I thought he would be.
  20. I know her brother was on one of the football championship teams a few years ago.
  21. Haha just the kind of thing you would expect from those guys.
  22. Gothberg, Parks, and Schmaltz have all confirmed they will return to UND next season looks like we are just waiting on Grimaldi's decision.
  23. Jayson Hajdu ‏@UNDSID 2m Can also now confirm that goalie Zane Gothberg will be back for his junior season. @UNDMHockey
  24. I was most concerned with Schmaltz even though we have good D depth as I think he could really have a breakout year next season. Add in the fact that if he left there may have been a chance we could lose out on his brother too and that would be a far bigger loss than Grimaldi. I'm not sure if Grimaldi will leave or not but I don't think he should and hope he comes back and gets close to the expectations most had for him when he arrived.
  25. Just saw on Twitter, copied the tweet from UNDSID on there now.
