I would assume that if UND coaching staff had unjustly puilled the offer form the kid either the Mother or her son more than likely would have made a disparaging remark towards UND. That didn't happen. Just the opposite. I think the Mother and her son realized that things were said that probably weren't appreciated by UND and actions were taken. It might be best for all. .

If he gets here and he sees we are pretty good and we do have a great schedule he might be very easy to coach. If we are winning games it is even better. Winning very ofen brings happiness. I agree that we need to cut him some slack and give him a chance. It could be a perfect fit.

I think we need to trust the coaching staff that the ymust feel he is a coachable kid.

UND played NDSU in the relevant sport of Volleyball not long ago and UND took NDSU down. When NDSU made the NCAA's later in the season Bison fans sure sounded like they thought Volleyball was a relevant sport then.

If they are 5th year players did they even have scholarships for 2nd semester?

I think Moorhead offered Woods too. NDSU won the recruiting war with Moorhead on this recruit. Congratulations to NDSU. I hope everything works out for them.

I thought I read somewhere that the contract on the return game for Georgia Southern, after the game down there in 2006, was renegotiated since the original game.

He has said that he is probably going to NDSU or at least leaning that way. Just because NDSU offered a full ride doesn't mean we need to. Scholarships should be based on what a schools needs are. Don't offer a full ride because your next door neighbor did.

I wonder how the recruiting visit went with Carey Woods yesterday. Considering the number of young receivers we have I wonder what we offered. Would it be a partial or a full?

At the present time we do have a tough time recruiting locally against NDSU. They have playoffs going on and big crowds at games. UND is playoff elgible now and we need to build up our cred. Hopefully that is beginning to happen and will continue into the Big Sky. But you never know what is going to happen on the recruiting trails. We did get Mollberg away from NDSU. The one thing we do have over NDSU is the conference. Big Sky locations for games has got to be a lot more appealing to a recruit over MVFC locations. I would think that playing games in California, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona and Colorado every year would seem pretty exciting. The most important objective of this years class for UND is the quarterback position. We do seem to be addressing that though.

You know our program is getting better when we don't play as good as everyone would like and still beat a perennial power in the Big Sky. You would think everyone would be thrilled. Expectations are already very high. This is a very exciting time for our basketball program. It is hard to believe that we had 4 sophmores score in double figures. It should be a great game on Saturday too.

I think NDSU will have good crowds. There are more expectations this year. They are good. More importantly there is no local television. That is huge. They are also not playing Thankasgiving weekend. That is huge.
