What are the chances UND makes the National tournament if we lose a game in the Final Five?
-
Western Illinois and SDSU are going to be playing for the Summit Championship tomorrow night. We beat SDSU and had Western Illinois beat and lost in the final seconds. We definitely should not of lost the Western Illinois game. I can't wait for next year.
-
The Summit was improving. They will be going the other direction shortly. They will be losing their best and signature team in Oral Roberts next year.
-
Unless we screw it up with the Big Sky there would be no reason to seek another conference. The Big Sky is the best conference available even if we could choose betweeen the 2.
-
Thank you Mr. O'keefe. Now if his son in law would say what is right for UND. There will be no sports program at all at UND if certain things don't happen.
-
What happens if the first petition gains enough signatures?
Risky replied to jimdahl's topic in UND Nickname
The nickname backers basically say the Big Sky has no intentiions of dropping UND and it is all a bluff. That accusation could have serious repercusions. If UND by law ends up having to keep the nickname and will have the NCAA sanctions put forward , the Big Sky probably will feel forced to kick UND out to show everyone indeed that they were telling us the truth. As a result the petition backers will force the hand of the Big Sky whether they were bluffing or not. -
Didn't I read where Izzo and Kolpack tweeted that Arp had decommitted from UND. In order to decommit don't you have to have committed previously?
-
The Schwartkopf recruit from Bismarck was on television last night saying how he chose UND over NDSU. Hopefully he will stick with his committment to UND. I suppose NDSU is on his doorstep trying to get him too switch like the Arp kid did.
-
Is there anything to read from having that many athletes sign on? First you have to have room for that many and it is simple as that. Does it mean some kids on the team see the writing on the wall and might be leaving the program. Does it indicate they might be having great success in recruiting? I suppose a person is just going to have to wait and see and not jump to conclusions. My gut feeling tells me recruiting is going great and the future is very bright.
-
SFI says we have 7 Preferred walk-ons. Who were the last 2 we got?
-
The landing of Tiolagi is a huge get. Definitely a great commitment. It is always good to get a North Dakota athlete. The Arp kid from Forman is very good. NDSU offered him and it is always nice to get one away from NDSU. The future for North Dakota football is exciting. I can't wait for next year and the Big Sky.
-
Maybe NDSU stretches the truth a little. It could be a strategy to make the kid feel an obligation to sign with NDSU when he really hasn'tmade up his mind. It could be as type of pressure strategy. That type of recruiting could backfire on you at some point.

Schwartzopf is a walk on at UND. I am not sure how much money NDSU offered him but, he chose UND over NDSU. There are always reasons a kid picks one school over another. Mollberg picked UND over NDSU and we are just happy he did. NDSU obviously wanted him or they wouldn't have offered him a full ride. Bison fans are just going to have to accept it.
-
The bottom line is that NDSU was aggressively recruiting Mollbeg and offered him a full ride. NDSU apparently didn't have a problem with his ankle sprain before he made his choice. I guess you can twist it however you want but I am just happy he chose UND over NDSU. It really bruises egos to the South when a kid choses UND over NDSU though.
-
You have got to be kidding. Schwarzkopf selected UND over NDSU. My oh my.
-
We sure have made some major major inroads into Illinois. That is exciting. Did we really back off on California or what. It seemed like we were really do good in our recruiting there the last couple of years. Did the person recruitng California leave or something?
-
They are very worried about actual attendance at their games. That is why NDSU is way behind UND when it comes to television exposure.
-
Whether we are the Sioux or not it was a great atmosphere and definitely a nice win over the Bison. Games can still be fun to go to.
-
The Bison game probably seems like small potatoes after having 2 Gopher games and 2 Wisconsin games in town this weekend. Just a thought.
-
I would guess there are dog locations in both conferences.
-
I would be the first to admit I don't know anything about Big Sky locations and atmospheres. The only thing I know is both Bison fans and Bison announcers have made light of some of the Summit locations and their junior high facilities or atmospheres.
-
I am not going to get into the topic of comparing Huff and Anderson. The only thing I will say is that Anderson is the consumate team player. I can't complain about anything he does on the floor. He carries himself very well.
-
I don't know what he said but I could imagine it is a response to what was said by Bison fans and players after their football game.
-
And last year when we played NDSU in Fargo there was no television because NDSU wan't to set an attendance record. That is an example of 2 schools with a different value system.
-
This is an exciting recruit.. I believe UND is on the brink of being very good. We are playoff ready and I think Braden can put us over the top and into the playoffs. We have a great schedule. The Big Sky is going to be fun. I can't wait.
