I don't think it matters which NDSU team shows up. NDSU will win this game easily.

I would asume that the Nickel is permanently retired since the Sioux logo is no longer going to be used. I would imagine it should reside with the team that won it last and also won it more times than the other team. Therefore it's permanent home is with UND. I really don't think there is any debate over that, UND won the series and that's that.

Over the years we have taken a lot of smack about attendance figures. After this weekend I think NDSU fans might have to put that to rest. Who would of thought that a non conference hockey game in Grand Forks would almost outdraw a first ever Bison playoff at the Fargodome on the same night. If a person wan't to go there, there could be a lot of crow handed out. Way to funny. The students were given free tickets to the game too at NDSU or the stand would of been even more vacant. 7000 empty seats at the Fargodome. Wow.

People on here have been warning that next years home schedule had some dogs on it. Hang in there This is the last year of crap games like that.

Now that UND is in the Big Sky neither school holds a bargaining edge over the other. Both schools should want the game just as much and neither school needs the game any more than the other. The two schools should both want to play the game because it is the right thing to do. It is best for the state and for the fans of both schools. It is best for the 2 schools financially as well as for a host of other reasons. Once again neither school needs the game any more than the other. It is time for some administrators to make adult mature decisions.

Don't make fun of Robert Morris. They beat Sacred Heart by 4 this year. Isn't Sacred Heart in East Grand Forks?

Just the media possibilities of the Big Sky made entrance into the Big Sky a no brainer in itself. That is just one huge positive in a list many positive reasons for the Big Sky. This conference move is going to prove to be one of the most significant steps this University has ever taken. I am very excited we are the only Dakota in on this venture. I just wish we didn't have to wait one more year to get it going.

Let's face it. The main reason NDSU fans have any interest in SIU is that Dale Lennon is there. They need to get over this Sioux thing.

I still have a strong feeling that Montana is going to make the move. Either way the future is going to be very exciting for UND.

I have already heard some of the media from other cities (you know who I mean ) and fans from their say UND will never be able to recruit area kids any more. That is really a bunch of bull. Athletes in general will be thrilled to play in the Big Sky and go to some of the locations in the Big Sky. The bottom line is we still need to put a quality product on the field to attract good athletes. As long as we are successful we will be able to attract good student athletes. In fact we will have some recruiting advantages over some of the area schools. That arguement is just bogus propaganda.

It is sort of dreamlike. I kind of say to myself. Are we really going to the Big Sky? For a second I wonder if that really happened. I think it must be a dream. It's true. We are really going to the Big Sky. It is surreal.

Faison did say yesterday that we should be able to tie into their television package. Combine that with our television/Fox College sports package and it makes for a real positive for national exp[osure.

The final present would be if we are able to tie into the Altitude sports network connected to the Big Sky. That would really be the icing on the cake. Fun times!!!!

I am still pinching myself. We are actually joining the Big Sky. Unbelievable. I can not wait . It will take a year to get to get the schedules figured out and then excitement will really take off. We are going to have exposure from coast to coast between Hockey and the Big Sky. And then to top it off we have ours Sioux Sports television network, Mid Con and Fox College Sports network.. This is going to be the start of a very special era in UND history. We had to wait through the transition period and then we got one huge Christmas present. I love the Holidays. Fans just need to hang in there for one more year (especially in football ) and then the party really begins. Congratulations to Brian Faison and President Kelly . A job WELL done.

I am going to be an optimist. After looking at the scores for 3 weeks I have a feeling the score from our Idaho game was just one of those days where turnovers and other circumstances happened and it is not a true gauge on how good UND is. I think we are a lot beter than most people think. It is just my opinion, Go Sioux.

We out played them in 2nd half. We had a touchdown called back at the 1 inch line. I'm very proud of the team. I can't wait for the rest of the season. Way to go.

Needless to say if we had gotten 1 more inch on that goal line run the score would be 16 to 14. Oh well.

If he is changing his opinion since yesterdays television news than someone must have advised him that the explanation he gave yesterday was looking a little weak.

I heard the NDSU President on the news last night and he said that concerning the audit all the expenses were justified. (they just look bad) After reading the paper this morning if those expenses were justified than we have another Joe Chapman on our hands.

Everybody probably should relax and see what happens. I have a feeling they will handle the school song with due respect. We will just have to see.

It isn't a big deal i the f entrance song isn't the school song. The most important thing is that it helps set a mood, Hitting the lights will be cool to. I have to give them props for trying to spice it up. It should be very exciting. I can't wait. Didn't they use some fireworks last year too? Is that going to be included this year?

The total revenue generated from ticket sales for the year for Sioux home hockey games dwarfs the total ticket revenues for the 5 or 6 home games they have for football in Fargo. There isn't even a comparison.

If we had a chance to get in the WAC we should go for it. Boy would they be squirming in Fargo. They say they can't break their contract with the the MVC but I bet NDSU would drop the MVC in a hurry if we went FBC.

I see where the TV coverage includes 3 home football games and 2 away football games. The away games are at USD and Montana. Good to see the Montana game is on. It doesn't have the SDSU football game in Brookings though. overall very exciting. I'm assuming SDSU said no to television. They are funny about that sometimes.

I am sure Local Boy wouldn't be happy with the Alerus whether it was doing good or bad.. He is so negative about the issue he would never give it a chance. He way to much emotional baggage on the Alerus to ever give it a fair chance.
