Half of this fanbase still doesn’t know what NIL is. They probably think it’s the same as donations to the Alumni Foundation. 1883 needs a massive marketing and PR effort to get the word out better because what they are doing now isn’t getting the point across.

I actually got in an argument with a Western Michigan fan about their Coach’s misinformation that their players don’t get any NIL. They have a NIL collective - their players get some NIL. He told me the school doesn’t pay NIL and that the collective is “different” than the school giving NIL. So clearly a lot of people think schools are paying out NIL?

It is the “we don’t know about” that makes everyone uneasy right now.

Celebrini just wanted to go to BU. Heard a clip of an podcast interview with him a while ago and he said he visited BU and that was all he needed to see. Had his mind made up and didn’t visit other schools.

Can’t speak for if he plans to visit Michigan, but McKenna was in GF a couple years ago. So he’s been here before.

Gotta be a center. Our only returning centers are Littler and Strinden and both those guys played a lot of wing also.

I pretty much have always seen him listed on the 2nd or 3rd line whenever I’ve seen Tri City’s line chart. So he seems to have a pretty solid lineup spot when healthy.

What I most got out of this link was Western Michigan having 33 committed recruits. Jeez that seems like a lot.

Completely different situation if you ask me. Cullen Potter wasn’t asked to play an extra year of juniors. He left the NTDP U17 team, not the U18 team. He just decided not to complete the 2 year NTDP commitment.

Did some googling. Not sure on UND connection yet, but Mom’s from ND (Minot area). That side of the family all still live in ND.

I thought it sounded like the offer was pulled to me.

I will just add that I have heard way too many stories about recruiting screw ups that took place in the last couple years.

There’s not a lot of steam on his next destination. Not like Pritchard.

Conmy has a do not contact designation in the portal. Everything so far seems to indicate he is staying east.

You aren’t allowed to go off campus to recruit if you are not designated as a coach.

I just know very few players in the portal interest me to begin with.

Could also be an American in OHL territory. Though I do wonder if it fell through also since we have not heard anything.
