Conmy has a do not contact designation in the portal. Everything so far seems to indicate he is staying east.

You aren’t allowed to go off campus to recruit if you are not designated as a coach.

I just know very few players in the portal interest me to begin with.

I don’t have to. Its been alluded to many times that this was in the works long before Berry was fired. Same with Perron. It was even in the article that Schlossman put out when the portal opened that UND had been expecting both OMac and Perron to transfer for a while.

Coaching change had nothing to do with it.

Simpson did play 31 USHL games last season and had 13 points in limited ice time. (Most of those points coming once he returned after the high school season last year.) So I’m not sure the sample size is that small. Just seems he has picked up where he left off to me, only now he is getting more ice time.

I think a Gibson Homer announcement is probably just a matter of time.

It was this winter Schlossman made the comment about Simpson on his podcast. Simpson is certainly planning on playing junior hockey next season. I’ve heard a couple interviews with him where he’s said that is his plan.

I saw O’Neill play against Fargo way back in September. I think he provides a style of game a lot of the team lacked last year. Probably would be better served with another year of juniors but I could understand if they wanted to bring him in.

It was worded terribly. I saw some Maine fan quote tweet it with “Maine! Maine! Maine!” So clearly they misread it lol.

Schlossman mentioned Tavis MacMillan not often on the bench for games earlier in the season. More recently he’s been there though.
