I saw some Puck Preps screenshots on Twitter the other day that said Hensler’s final 3 are UND, Michigan and Wisconsin (not Minnesota). Also gave all 3 schools a 33% chance of getting him so they really went out on a limb there lol.

I think we can worry about our recruiting of high school juniors at this time as opposed to 10 year olds though.

I read the guy’s commitment article and I read those schools (UND, Harvard, etc) as schools that showed recruiting interest. It didn’t specify “offers.” I mean he talked about how great SCSU’s facilities are. So I’m not sure he even took a visit to UND. But that’s just my interpretation of his quotes.

Right. I was trying to think of what high school programs near Heron Lake had hockey programs. They were in my high school’s section for track when I was in high school and were consolidated with Okabena and Lakefield and Brewster at the time.

I don’t think so. He committed out of the Sioux Falls Power program.

Matej Tomek came from the NAHL. Obviously he didn’t work out. There has been some other non-goalies but most either didn’t play thru their senior year or they played minimal roles. I think UND is more likely to grab guys from the MJHL over the NAHL. We’ve gotten some good depth guys there.

Perron isn’t a center. Emerson is the one who could potentially play center but he played wing most of this season.

I have my doubts also. I was thinking he probably should’ve accelerated and since he didn’t I’m not sure he ever makes it there.

I was at the game last night and I agree with your take on Strathmann. Didn’t notice any glaring defensive issues but Youngstown played a good defensive game and Fargo really didn’t have that many good opportunities.
